Chalet Wyssbirg

Accommodation was beautiful and clean with fantastic views and an easy walk from the train station. Maybe a few extra pillows for the beds.

Our adult family of 8 were comfortable and able to enjoy 5 nights together in this nice chalet. Great location with beautiful views. We love Wengen and thinking of a return in the winter for skiing, even though we live in Snowmass Village, Colorado! The Chalet was clean, well provided, and as advertised. Some rooms a bit small, pillows a bit on the hard side, and lighting in the master bath poor. However, it’s one of the few chalets with 4 bedroom suites and we would return!

We have a fantastic stay in Wengen fir my husband’s 50th birthday. The chalet was perfect for two families sharing and conveniently located to be able to pop back with younger children as and when required. It was extremely spacious with gorgeous views from the sunny balconies. Fitted out to a very high standard. We would love to come back!

We rented the Chalet Wyssbirg for one week of hiking in late September and we had a wonderful time. Wengen is, of course, a great place to visit, particularly when the weather is good. We were fortunate to have two days of exceptionally good weather, a couple of days of so-so weather, and a few days of clouds and rain. Wyssbirg has five bedrooms, one on the main floor and four downstairs. I would describe the facility as functional, nice, but not deluxe by any means. It has a very nice kitchen/living room upstairs that is great for getting a group together, and the laundry, which is combined with one of the bathrooms downstairs, is very helpful and convenient. If your expectations are not too high with regard to luxury, you will find the place to be very adequate. If you want real luxury, you should probably look elsewhere. One thing you should certainly keep in mind is that since Wyssbirg is next to the church, you will hear the church bells at all times of the day and night. The windows do seal much of the noise out, but not all of it. Bottom line: a nice place for a larger group or family to stay, but don't expect luxury.

The place was sparkly clean and the location is really excellent, what a view!. The kitchen is well equipped and the main bedrooms are spacious.

Every room had a bathroom, good showers, a lot of space, next to the church We missed brackets on the walls in bathroom

We had a fabulous stay here. Wengen is the perfect base for exploring the area, and very child friendly. The apartment is very well situated, handy for the centre of the village yet peaceful. The views from the apartment are absolutely breathtaking. Julie who managed the booking was very attentive by email and text to ensure that all was well (which is was, we had no issues at all). Highly recommended.

Brought my family over to celebrate a birthday. Wengen is beautiful, Chalet Wyssbirg was lovely, everything you could need was there. We were a party of 8 adults and one child and there was plenty of room for us all. We had a great holiday exploring the region. Would also recommend Hotel Baren for a meal, as the food and staff were fantastic.

Chalet Wyssbirg was perfect for our family of 10, including two married couples. All of the accommodations and appliances are superb, and it is an easy walk to the train station. We did not lack anything during our one-week stay. Julie Doyle, the property manager, was very attentive.
