The Old Village Hall, finished in 1929, was used as a court house, jail house, and fire house and now has become a living space. This is the lower level of the building, complete with a fireplace and laundry, one king bed, one queen bed, and one queen roll out. There is a patio with a fire pit, and enough room to park your truck and boat, four wheelers or snowmobile. In close proximity to Spirit Mountain and Mont Du Lac ski resorts, as well as Jay Cook State Park and the Munger Trail. The Oliver and Boyscout boat landings to the St. Louis River are just down the road. This river will take you into Lake Superior. If fishing is your interest, book an outing with Houston's Guide Service. We are 20 minutes from the Canal Park, Park Point areas in Duluth.
Very nice place. We loved it and enjoyed our stay.
Really enjoy this place in the winter. Perfect for staying in - cooking, games, puzzles, movies - and close to skiing and other sightseeing.
I have never written a review before, positive or negative but this was truly worth taking the time for. It was immaculate and maintained very well. Extremely nice place.
This is our second stay here. A great place To hang out with family. Lots of space and a well supplied kitchen.
Very clean and newly renovated. Comfortable stay while visiting Duluth/Superior area. Would stay here again. Could easily accommodate family of 4-5 or two couples.
This place was very nice, and clean! Beds are so comfortable! Had everything you need! We recommend staying here!
Beautifully remodeled, repurposed village hall minutes from west side of Duluth. Nice, northwoods style decor. Very comfortable; well-appointed. We had plans with other family in Duluth & could have spent more time at this property. Major appliances, beds, furniture like new. We loved it & would stay again. Two minor suggestions: Pls provide facial tissue. A few in our group couldn't clean their glasses. Consider providing regular coffee to brew (not just instant).
Beautiful area.
Cute, clean and perfect for a weekend away.
We were all very impressed with our stay at this location! Will definitely be back!
This place is such an amazing hidden gem. It was so homey and cozy my kids didnt want to leave. All of the ammentities are spot on, bedrooms were roomy and overall a great place to stay. We wont be staying anywhere else on our next trips to the twin ports. Thanks for everything!
This is our 2nd year staying here, love it!
We loved this property. We had 2 families staying (7 total) and it was roomy enough and had everything we needed. We cooked some meals and had all the pans and utensils we needed. The fireplace was perfect as were all the smart TVโs, Only 10 minutes from Spirit Mountain which was ideal. I highly recommend this place.
This is our second stay at this property and we can't say enough about how great it is!! It is spotless and very well equipped. There is a fire pit on the patio with supplied firewood. The location is great as it's easy to get to Duluth and the surrounding areas without being in the hustle. We would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here while visiting Jay Cooke in the fall and it's a lovely place! There were only two of us there, but it would be great for a family or group of friends as well. Super spacious! Awesome kitchen, great sitting area outside, and the building exterior is super charming! Highly recommend!
Great open living space for hanging out and eating. We appreciated that all of the basic necessities were stocked (toiletries, paper towels, cooking/baking gear, etc) and that there was a large pile of firewood to use. The train horn was a little disruptive to sleeping, especially for the person on the pullout couch in the living room. But overall we enjoyed our stay!
The apartment was clean and nice. We really enjoyed the fire pit. There was a really loud train that was across the street coming through at all hours that made it hard to sleep.
The size was perfect and there was a great patio set and fire pit to enjoy in evenings. Lots of towels etc for guests and close to Duluth and Superior.
Had everything one could need- very interesting property. If youโre a super light sleeper the train horn may be an issue. Itโs very light-(not a horn thatโll startle you awake)- I found it pleasant myself, but if youโre a high anxiety/low tolerance for noise type of person- prepare yourself.
