Jemma’s Hideaway in Amish Country

This was the best VRBO that we have been to. The kitchen had everything we needed. Having a laundry room with detergent was amazing. The apt was very relaxing and quiet. We would highly recommend staying at Jemma’s Hideaway.

Have stayed multiple times and will continue to do so. Great property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jemma’s Hideaway. Easy access to everything you could possibly want to do. Ms. Julie texted us to make sure we had what we needed and were comfortable. If I could suggest a recommendation it would be, I would have appreciated a tv in our bedroom. But, that is not a deal breaker (I would revisit). Very spacious, very clean, convenience store next door.

A perfect alternative to a motel/hotel stay in Amish country. The house was clean, quiet and tastefully decorated. We had everything we could possibly need. We would definitely stay there again!

The place was absolutely great and the place was really nice and homey for a rental place and the people that have it were super nice and helpful in many ways for sure.We will definitely stay there again if we are able to get it when we go back to that area of the country.

Everything you will possibly need is there, in a very clean, well kept environment. As advertised.

We love staying here when we visit the Berlin area. This was our 2nd time staying. The home is well maintained, extremely clean and feels like home! And the bed was super comfortable. There are extra touches that we truly appreciate. The owners are very kind. We love sitting on the patio watching the nearby horses in the evenings. We can’t wait to visit again!

Third stay and all have been the same, perfect! Love sitting outside and watching their, and the neighbor's, horses.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jemma's Hideaway! Wonderful hosts and all the comforts of home. We really appreciated having access to a washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked and we enjoyed watching the horses in the evening. We've been visiting the area for many years now and we're so glad to find Jemma's!

Jemma’s Hideaway is truly the perfect place to stay while visiting Ohio Amish country. This was our second time renting from our host Julie. The accommodations were great with everything you need for your stay. The unit is meticulous and cozy. The king size bed is so comfortable as well. The kitchen has everything you need for your meals and the bathroom is pristine and so well equipped with big fluffy towels. This was another wonderful trip and we will definitely return here next time we travel to Amish country.

A beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy and relax. Close to all the surrounding attractions. The hosts are superb and extremely kind and welcoming. They anticipate any need you may have. The accommodations are spotless and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend staying here.

Jemma's Hideaway was the perfect place for us. We were welcomed with a sign, bottle of sparkling juice (thank you because we do not drink alcohol), and chocolates. It is away from crowds, but just a short drive to Route 39. Anything you needed was provided and the communication was superb. The minimalist decorations and cleanliness made it feel like home to us. I would never have believed I was in a basement. The couch was so comfortable that we bought a similar one from a furniture store in the area. We are hoping to stay at Jemma's the next time we visit the area.

The place was spotless, comfy and relaxing. We celebrated 43 of marriage and were given sparkling juice and a box of chocolate! So thoughtful. Bed was comfortable, all the necessary coffee making supplies were there. Our second time staying here, and will return.

This was the perfect place for a weekend away with my husband. We had everything we needed and then some! We searched for somewhere with recliners and good lighting so that we could have some time to read. Jemma's Hideaway exceeded our expectations. All of the lights are bright, but they are also on dimmers. The bedroom does not have a window, so if you like to sleep in late the sun won't wake you up. Everything is spotless and it is only 10 minutes from our favorite shops in Mount Hope. The kitchen had everything we needed. We hope to return sometime. I highly recommend this vacation rental!

When we first walked in we were suprised to find a personalized welcome message and gifts (local chocolates and grape juice). The place did not disappoint. It was very clean and spacious. Even though we knew it was a basement apartment, it never felt like we were in a basement. We had no issues at all and will definitely be back!

Jemma's Hideaway offers a great placet to stay while visiting Amish Country. This was our 2nd time staying here. Whether you prefer to bring food to cook for yourself or bring in what this area offers the kitchen is well supplied. The rest is very comfortable. Even though we didn't talk in person this trip , Julie contacted us to make sure we had everything we needed. We will return!

Just a weekend getaway for me (about two hours from home) and love how peaceful it is here. Sitting outside taking in the beautiful landscape and horses is another thing that makes Jemma's Hideaway a favorite for me.

From the moment you enter the driveway to when you open the door everything is neat, clean and comfy. The home and apartment are on a main route close by Amish attractions and towns. You hear no road noise from this VRBO. The kitchen and bathroom were nicely stocked with what you need (all you need to bring is your food for meals). We appreciated the coffee station with choice of Keurig or small regular pot for more the morning and tea for evening. We only communicated during our brief stay via text with owner when she asked if we needed anything. The chocolates and sparkling juice and welcome board was a nice thoughtful touch. We even got to take a little cactus plant home too. Everything is spelled out for you when you arrive and even light switches are labeled (often time at other places it is trial and error). Furniture and bed are very comfortable. And walk in closet was perfect. We didn't need to use the laundry facilities in apartment but they were just as tidy and clean as the rest of the place. We would stay here in the future and did appreciate the opportunity this time. Don't hesitate on staying at this VRBO. It's perfect for two!

This was my my first time using VRBO and Jemma”s Hideaway was as described and more. I am a wheelchair user and was accessible for me to get in and out. The place was clean and cozy and the host makes you feel welcome. I even forgot something and she shipped it to me. If you’re looking to get away in Amish country. This is the place to stay..

Everything was very clean. There were plenty of toiletries available, clean towels and bed linens and everything you need to eat is also included in the kitchen, all you need to do is bring food. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows for your use as well. Our host even welcomed us with sparkling juice and a box of gourmet chocolates. I cant say enough about how clean and comfy our 3 night stay was at Jemma's Hideaway and its so close to so many things to do and within a short driving distance to many great restaurants. We will definately be staying here again
