Island's Sunset Gold Guest Room on Beautiful Lake Murray, Permit #2500877

We arrived at the Island Trail VRBO and were warmly greeted by our host Debra and Dennis as if they already knew us. They immediately gave us a tour of their available rooms and a guided tour around the beautiful property. The stay at their VRBO is by far the most impressive property that we have stayed at thus far. The grounds are immaculately, landscaped with lit walkways, fountains, trees, and beautiful, flowering shrubs. Our room was very tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed. The room had a mini refrigerator stocked with beverages, a basket of snacks, and Keurig with coffee, tea, hot, chocolate, etc.. Our hosts provided a very detailed notebook with all the information needed for our stay in our room, including suggestions for local eateries, places to visit, and a map of the lake. This VRBO is a must if you are looking for a peaceful and/or romantic getaway, or just want to have fun on the lake, we highly recommend you consider staying here. If we were to rate it from 1 - 10, this place would be an 11+!! This has been the best VRBO experience and, hands-down the most awesome host we have ever had! We plan on booking again in the future.

Owners were incredibly gracious and thought of everything. There are so many activities to do right on their property that I wish we had planned to stay longer!

Debra is a wonderful host who really cares about her guests being comfortable and having a good time. I was officiating the funeral of a dear friend and she was kind and helpful during a challenging time. Has everything you need to enjoy the lake and beach, kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, giant connect 4, giant chess, horse shoes and rooms are comfortable and spotless. Great pool and hot tub.

Cannot recommend this venue enough! The views and on-site activities were amazing, the hosts are wonderful, and the local area is great! This was our first Vrbo experience and it will be very hard to match.

My husband and I have been using Vrbo for around 15 years now and this property has to be the most unique place we have ever stayed. The property was absolutely gorgeous with lake front views, a pool, hot tub, beach fire pit as well as a gas firepit on the covered porch. We sat by the gas firepit while it rained over the lake and it was beautiful! The kayaks were so much fun and the lake was so calm. The room was more than we could have hoped with so many personal touches, extremely clean with snacks and drinks in the refrigerator. Dennis and Debra were wonderful hosts! It was such a great weekend!

Our stay in Paradise was exceptional, thanks to the incredibly welcoming and caring hosts Debra and Dennis. The property was pristine, beautiful, and comfortable both inside and out. They truly thought of everything, providing snacks, drinks, a fire pit, grill, SUPs, kayaks, beach access, a pool, hot tub, water trampoline, and breathtaking sunsets. We can't wait to return for another outstanding experience!

This was definitely false advertising! This is a RESORT! There is a beautiful pool and hot tub; there are boats for guests to use; a grill—even a pizza oven! There are plenty of places to relax on the spacious porch—even a table with a fire, as well as a more traditional fire pit on the small sandy beach. And all that is before you get to the immaculate room! Our hosts thought of EVERYTHING. They anticipated every need a traveler could have, from bottled water and coffee creamer in the fridge, to a Keurig coffee maker and a fresh bucket of ice. Very comfortable bed with great a/c and beautiful decor. The worst part was we missed meeting Debra, who was out of town, but the other half of this dynamic duo: Dennis, was so warm and friendly. He told us all about the area and what not to miss (hint: Chicken Butt Donuts!) We would stay there again in a heartbeat, but this time we wouldn’t plan so many things away from the property!

This was BY FAR the best vacation rental we have ever experienced. Debra and Dennis were the absolute best hosts with sooo much infectious joy and happiness. The property was spectacular with water toys, lounge areas, a pool/hot tub, etc. Everything was wonderful start to finish. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

A truly wonderful vacation experience for my entire family. Our hosts were so incredibly kind and thoughtful. They really thought of everything to make our stay so enjoyable. There were so many water activities available for a cross-section of ages that we all had something to do. whether it was searching for minnows, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, roasting marshmallows over a fire, swimming, shuffle board,etc. It was so much fun with lots of laughter and good times. The views from our balcony, breath taking! A hidden jewel that we hope to experience again.

I'm a return guest and I was not disappointed again! My kids (11 & 12) were on Spring-break and they had a blast. The pool, the lake, the fishing, and the welcoming provisions from the owners are top shelf. I couldn't imagine a better stay. Another perfect 10. Amazing...
