Stayed Jul 16, 2025So much character. Loved the place. The hosts were fantastic, very friendly and they made sure we knew everything we needed to know. Place was very clean and very well stocked. In the middle of old town so everything you need is at your door. Because it is in the old town, the building dates way back so some of the floor boards creak but that adds to the character however the kitchen and bathroom have been renovated to modern standards. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend the place.

Stayed Jul 18, 2022Spacious and in actual 17th century half timber house in center of intact university town only minutes walk from botanical gardens, city hall, castle, river banks, and with beer halls and cafes on almost every street corner. If you wonder what it would be like to live in such a historic German town here is your chance. Flight of steps to the unit would make it hard for a handicapped person.

Stayed Jun 11, 2023The apartment is a perfect place to stay for anyone who wants to explore the old town, walk to the university (through the beautiful botanical garden), or just relax in a comfortable retreat! Margarita is a very welcoming and helpful host, and the apartment is spotless and well-equipped with everything you'll need. It provides the best of both worlds: the fascinating experience of staying in a medieval structure (14th-century house!) with all the conveniences of the 21st century. The grocery store, open vegetable and fruit markets, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops are all nearby, as are all sorts of shops. St. John the Evangelist Catholic church is right across the street. It's an easy walk to the schloss as well. We highly recommend the lovely experience of staying here for a full seven nights. Danke für alles, Margarita!

Stayed Apr 24, 2022This property is around 700 years old and full of character. The floors are uneven and it creaks everywhere, and we loved it. The owner was very kind and attentive but stayed in the background unless we had a question. Car parking was available in a multi storey 5 minutes walk away. The location, next to the Catholic Church, was ideal for exploring with plenty of shops and eateries nearby. We would definitely return if the opportunity arose. I would not recommend this house to anyone with mobility issues though, there are steep stairs to access the property, and the uneven flooring would be unsuitable, as well as the walk required to the car park. However for us, it was a perfect location and we really loved it.

Stayed Nov 23, 2021We had a wonderful time staying in Margarita’s apartment. The location is perfect for exploring the city. The apartment had all the amenities we needed and a well equipped kitchen. The apartment is in an old building with a lot of character. The apartment was perfect for our family during our stay in Tubingen.
