Tübingen, Baden-Wurttemberg
In the middle of the old town of Tübingen, and yet in a very quiet location, with a wonderfully sunny, open window facing south-east and a view of the Johanneskirche - you cannot live more individually in Tübingen! On the first floor of one of the oldest houses in Tübingen from the 14th century. there is a completely renovated 65 sqm apartment available, which offers everything you need for an unforgettable stay in Tübingen. You live directly in the traffic-calmed area of the old town of Tübingen, the market square with its historic town hall, the collegiate church at the Holzmarkt, the old botanical garden, the Neckar with a punting pier, everything is within walking distance in minutes. In front of the house there is a small patio where you can sit on a sunny day in the shade of a fig tree (!) can enjoy the view of the Johanneskirche and the hustle and bustle on the church square.
The spacious three-room apartment, a complete floor with its own entrance, has been renovated in accordance with the preservation order, with massive, partly still historical wooden floorboards and beautifully restored lime plasters. The apartment is furnished with original, also modern works of art and attention to detail. It has two bedrooms and a spacious kitchen. In the living area you can relax on comfortable leather furniture. In addition to cable TV, DVD players and films as well as a small library are at your disposal. The open kitchen is fully equipped with a ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. Toaster, microwave oven, kettle and senseo coffee machine are also available.
In two wardrobes, shelves and sideboards you will find enough space for a wardrobe and luggage. In addition to free WiFi, you can also connect your laptop to cable sockets in every room. In the bathroom, with corner bath and shower, a hair dryer and fresh towels are a matter of course. The apartment also has a vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board. If you are arriving by car, there is free parking in the nearby parking garage, just a three-minute walk away. This apartment is also very suitable for longer stays and holidays, because picturesque cafes, good restaurants, butchers and bakers, weekly market, grocery stores, everything up to a laundromat are within walking distance.
Due to the steep staircase and the location on the first floor, this apartment is unfortunately not accessible by wheelchair and is also not suitable for the disabled. Due to the historical building structure and valuable equipment, we only rent to non-smokers and unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets.
Spacious and in actual 17th century half timber house in center of intact university town only minutes walk from botanical gardens, city hall, castle, river banks, and with beer halls and cafes on almost every street corner. If you wonder what it would be like to live in such a historic German town here is your chance. Flight of steps to the unit would make it hard for a handicapped person.
The apartment is a perfect place to stay for anyone who wants to explore the old town, walk to the university (through the beautiful botanical garden), or just relax in a comfortable retreat! Margarita is a very welcoming and helpful host, and the apartment is spotless and well-equipped with everything you'll need. It provides the best of both worlds: the fascinating experience of staying in a medieval structure (14th-century house!) with all the conveniences of the 21st century. The grocery store, open vegetable and fruit markets, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops are all nearby, as are all sorts of shops. St. John the Evangelist Catholic church is right across the street. It's an easy walk to the schloss as well. We highly recommend the lovely experience of staying here for a full seven nights. Danke für alles, Margarita!
Super location, excellent hosts and the apartment is so beautiful. Just a super experience!
This property is around 700 years old and full of character. The floors are uneven and it creaks everywhere, and we loved it. The owner was very kind and attentive but stayed in the background unless we had a question. Car parking was available in a multi storey 5 minutes walk away. The location, next to the Catholic Church, was ideal for exploring with plenty of shops and eateries nearby. We would definitely return if the opportunity arose. I would not recommend this house to anyone with mobility issues though, there are steep stairs to access the property, and the uneven flooring would be unsuitable, as well as the walk required to the car park. However for us, it was a perfect location and we really loved it.
We had a wonderful time staying in Margarita’s apartment. The location is perfect for exploring the city. The apartment had all the amenities we needed and a well equipped kitchen. The apartment is in an old building with a lot of character. The apartment was perfect for our family during our stay in Tubingen.
