Because the house is set 10 minutes away from Pesaro, up a hill, you have the best of both worlds. Peace and quiet and then shops, restaurants, beaches really close by. We stayed in Apartment Diana which was fine for us and our 2 children (7 and 5). Great that it had 2 bathrooms, though I did miss having either an oven or a microwave, but we got around that. The outside dining area is in the main courtyard area but still felt really private and the girls could be at the pool in about 10 seconds. The pool was brilliant, big enough for adults to swim properly and a decent shallow area for kids. And it was warm enough every day for me to swim in, and I'm quite fussy about pool temperature. We ate in several restaurants in Pesaro, all good, had 2 days at the beach that Anna recommended, and visited Gradara and Urbino. There was lots more that we'd have liked to seen so we are already talking about coming back. Only slight downside was the breakfast, which could have benefitted from eggs and fruit, as it felt very bread/cake/cereal heavy. But otherwise, I'd definitely recommend Il Pignocco and we would love to return one day.
