Very clean

Charming 3rd floor walk-up. 41 stairs were good exercise for all the great food we ate while in KC. Safe neighborhood. Mission style decor was tastefully done, and they had everything we needed. Very comfortable beds and room darkening shades. A little worn in a few spots but great value for the cost.

This was a wonderful 2 bedroom, 2 bath, apartment beautifully decorated in Arts and Crafts style. It was clean, quiet and very comfortable. It is on the third floor of a classic mansion in a very nice neighborhood in Hyde Park. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. It was perfect for me and my girlfriend. The entry is on the back up two flights of steps. Very doable. Parking was safe and secure behind the mansion. I highly recommend this beautiful VRBO lodging and I would return again. It is very convenient to the primary tour sites in KC and near the trolley street line, which is great!

We had a 4 day event at the KC Convention Center….. 4 of us stayed in VRBO b/c cheaper than downtown hotel plus we could “spread out”, cook our own meals, and park for free. Easy drive to get downtown. It was great! We brought our dog and loved taking her for multiple walks a day b/c the neighborhood felt safe ( even at 5 am in the dark) and the architecture of the houses was breath taking. Beautiful historic neighborhood. The Arts & Crafts style of VRBO was charming. Beds were comfortable. It might be “tight” with 6 adults but was perfect for 4. We loved it! Not good for someone who can’t handle multiple flights of steps. Host was very responsive to all my questions and concerns leading up to our arrival…. Very helpful.

It’s always a little mysterious when you book a VRBO property for the first time as often the pictures and descriptions do not meet reality. However, in this case, this loft exceeded expectations! It was one of the nicest places I have ever rented in terms of the decor, attention to detail, and elevated amenities. Most often when you rent a place there are many things that you could’ve used that are missing. Our host thought of everything. All high-quality, down to the very last thing such as two different coffee makers, one a Keurig and one a conventional. It had granite countertops. nice utensils, glassware, appliances, and all of the little things that you need such as dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, extra garbage bags, plenty of towels, sheets, and blankets. High end washer and dryer and walk in showers in both bedrooms. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. We never ran into a situation where we said boy I wish we had this or that. Every time we needed something it was there. At one point I cut my finger and said I hope they have a Band-Aid and sure enough, there was a small first aid kit in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom. In short, it basically had everything you would have at home. The parking was excellent. They had on street parking as well as up the driveway right by the front door. It is a loft and up three flights of stairs, so one needs to be aware of that if there are difficulties with mobility. It’s a terrific value!

The unit was clean but not well maintained. Chipped paint, window sills need paining. Door knob fell off bedroom door. Some dirty dishes in cabinet. Fingerprints on entry door. We could not figure out how to turn the volume up on the tv and we needed to watch bc there was a tornado warning. Hook and towel rack in bathrooms broken. Split in couch cushion.

The host was awesome and great with communication. It was very clean, had so many extra amenities to make it feel more homey, and wonderful location. Thanks for the amazing stay and looking forward to booking here next time we are in KC.

The loft is very nice. It is on the 3rd floor which was fine. It had a nice little balcony. The neighborhood is interesting and it is close to Westport, the Plaza, and downtown.

The place was very cozy and charming! The neighborhood is kind of sketchy but you can definitely see the historical charm this neighborhood still holds. Parking is not really meant for more than 1 vehicle. We had two vehicles and had to park one on the street. Not a terrible inconvenience but I would have liked the added security of on-site parking instead of on-street parking. Host is not super-communicative. Check-in information inside the house isn’t complete so if you have questions and reach out to the host, be prepared to wait a bit for a response. The place has some really nice upgraded features while maintaining some historical charm. There were a few areas that needed fixing/repair but nothing that hampered the enjoyment of the facilities. Cute and cozy and worked for our needs.

When we first arrived, there was a construction team blocking the entire street where we had no access to the house. Luckily they were almost done and we waited for them to open the road. I can't remember if the listing showed that you'd need to climb 3 flights of stairs for access. One of the friends with me struggled a bit to get up all those stairs. If that's not part of the listing, it should be. As for me, I would have liked to have seen more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels/clothes when showering. One hook there that was broken in the biggest bathroom. Hand towel hook broken and kept falling on the floor. Other than those little things, it was a good stay in a good location. Oh and everything was very clean and ready for us.

We stayed at the top floor of a mansion in Hyde Park. It’s a beautiful place: hardwood floors and very cozy bedrooms. We didn’t use the kitchen, but there’s everything you would need to cook. The living room is comfortable and relaxing. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Very quaint and comfortable. Stayed 6 days with my sister and husband who flew in from Arizona. Close to plaza and other points of interest. We were on the 3rd story, which was easy to reach, but since we are in our 80’s, we would get a first or second floor at this location.

This is such a CUTE place. The pictures are spot on- so much character and charm! The neighborhood is beautiful too! But more importantly, this little apartment was clean, fully stocked and comfortable. The owners were easy to communicate with, and have clearly thought about the people renting this space. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, bathrooms had lots of the little extras in case you forgot something. The towels and bedding were all lovely. We would stay here again, without question!

In town for the Chiefs Ravens game. Nice neighborhood. Easy to get around. The unit is a third floor walk up (needed the exercise). Unit very well kept. Love the wooden accents. Beds slept well. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. One thing was the internet and tv was not the best but hey we were in town to soak up the KC town!! Definitely recommend and definitely would rent again!!!

It was great for a weekend getaway with friends! Close to downtown too!

FIRST, IT’S ON THE THIRD FLOOR. If you are disabled, don’t book this one. It was cute. It’s attached to the rest of another part of the house. The bedroom door was off the hinges, and one knob kept coming off. It’s an older building but cute. If you have kids, you might not want to book here. The floors creak and are very loud. The owner wants the noise kept to a minimum.

Everything was great except for the excessive amount of ants in the kitchen!

I had a great experience at this Hyde park property. Everything was as expected and depicted in photos. It was quiet, comfortable, clean and easy check in/ check out. It also felt safe/secure. Andrew was great at responding to any question that arose. 100% recommend!

Great except for the 41 steps to our door!

Very nice property. Parking wasn't the greatest when you have 2 cars and not wanting to park on street. Only issue was internet, arrived Thursday and pretty much didn't have access to tv's or internet till late Saturday afternoon. And we left Sunday morning. I feel like a refund of some sort would be in order. The host was very nice and tried numerous things before he arrived and plugged in a booster for internet then it was fine. There are 3 units to this house and he said there was only 1 gig for the entire house and there was 7 people in the apartment below so everyone was using devices. Overall it was fun weekend.

Overall, this was a decent solution for what our family needed. It had enough room for us to have separate spaces, separate bathrooms and plenty of cookware for home cooked meals. A few things of note- it is in fact an older property so there are creaky, wonky floorboards in places, some home repairs in need of attention like towel racks that fall off and the secondary bathroom door does not slide at all and is quite heavy. Spices were listed on amenities but none were in the kitchen (one small bottle of oregano). We did make a quick grocery run upon arrival after discovering no coffee was provided for the pot of kuerig. While the neighborhood itself is nice, the nearby grocery options were quite surprising. The Aldi was fencedgated with 2 armed security guards. The Save A Lot… let’s just say only my husband would go and the rest of our family would not. Whole Foods or the newer Casey’s gas station is probably the best choice if needing to make a stop. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

In a great location and the space was perfect for my friend and I. We both had our own rooms and own bathrooms. The host was easy to contact. I’d recommend staying there!

The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Andrew was very welcoming and accommodating. I accidentally requested the wrong dates for our stay and he made the change for me without hesitation. The Hyde Park neighborhood is made up of beautiful large old homes and mansions well cared for and a great place for a walk. The location is convenient to downtown, Westport, the Country Club Plaza, and Nelson Atkins Art museum along with others. None is more than 15 minutes away. Be aware that this is a third floor apartment but the stairs are sturdy with handrails and I’m 73 and it wasn’t a big deal.

The house is in a good location, and the loft was clean and well stocked. Check in was easy. The one downside was that the WiFi was very spotty, and the tv’s were essentially useless. Overall, it was a cool spot that suited our purposes, but the lack of WiFi/tv was frustrating during downtime.

Roomy, well appointed third floor unit in a beautiful old KC neighborhood. Great deck to enjoy the evening sky and feel the breeze. Close to so many great KC attractions. Andrew was on site often and available to answer any questions. Would love to stay again!

The Hyde Park Mansion Loft is the perfect space for 2 couples. Each bedroom has its own bath and it has a washer/dryer too. Owner is very communicative as needed. It is our 2nd time renting this space and I'm sure we'll be back again.

In town for our children’s sports events close to the venue and had everything we needed!

Very will stocked, had many amenities and every kitchen tool you might need. Charming old house. The place was filthy. Was suprprised to find it so dirty considering the cleaness rating here on the site. We found no less than 5 fully dirty dishes put away into the cupboards. There was food all over the cabinets, the trash cabinet was covered in nasty. Pubes in the shower. Under the couch is terrifying. The living room rug is stained and soiled beyond comfort, not to mention needed a vacuuming, we had to wear socks and preferred house shoes. The door handles were falling off, had to be careful when opening doors so as not to have the handle in your hand. It is 3 stories up... Man that's alot of unmentioned stairs to climb especially since it snowed half the days we were there. The parking was difficult and made much worse by the snow because the driveway was left unattended after the snow The property owner was nice enough to salt and shovel the stairs after the first snow but it snowed several more times. We left the place far cleaner then when we arrived. Has potential...

Wonderful loft on 3rd floor of historic mansion in beautiful old neighborhood. Wonderful arts and crafts decor in the loft. A few things need fixing like loose door handles, loose towel racks and kitchen faucet, hence only 4 stars. This would take a handy person a few hours to fix. But this did not affect the quality of our stay. Comfortable beds in a very cozy space. If back in KC, will stay again.

Beautiful feel safe neighborhood. It was perfectly located for our events at Union Station and Crown Center. A roomy very well laid out space. A kitchen plug-in didn't work, a wine glass had lip stick stains, the windows behind the sofa could use serious caulking, internet isn't stable and a door handle came off in my hand, but went back on. Didn't care for the metal stools at the bar, totally uncomfortable for long sitting. I didn't realize loft meant up three flights of stairs. But all in all, we did enjoy our time there and would stay again.

We came to KC for 2 nights for the Hallmark Experience for a girls weekend. Had a great time. Nice location close to downtown.

We went to see KC and the Bronco's with my sister and brother in law at Arrowhead Stadium. Of course KC delivered the excitement! We each had our own bed/bathroom with the common kitchen and comfy living room where we hung out together. It was a perfect place for us to stay for a long weekend. Close to EVERYTHING! Loved the property! Beds super cozy! Decor very nicely done... (internet connection not the best.. could improve there..) Overall super pleased! Would definitely stay again!

We stayed for two nights to catch a Monday night football game at Arrowhead. The place is conveniently located and an easy drive to the stadium. The loft is beautifully decorated and there is a lot of charm and personality in each of the rooms! The bedding was soft and comfortable. We enjoyed our first trip to KC, and if we return, we will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful accommodations, sparkling clean, comfortable beds, provided a great hub for our week in Kansas City. Only issue was unstable internet….but that’s been a problem even where I live in Oklahoma for the last couple of weeks. It didn’t keep us from enjoying the week or the loft apartment! If in KC, we will definitely look to stay here again.

We loved the Arts and Craft Loft. Only two issues - too bad it is on the third floor as it is difficult to climb the steep outside stairs with luggage. Also the Tv's had reception problems with buffering and pixelating.

This property is comfortable and cozy and clean. It is close to museums and restaurants and it’s a lovely neighborhood. The owner was quick to respond when I needed assistance. I would definitely stay here again.

This was a nice area that was an easy drive to downtown, eateries, and the stadium. The property owner was responsive when we had an issue with the Internet and the apartment was very comfortable. We enjoyed our long weekend.

This was a great property for us as a multigenerational family traveling together. There was great sleeping areas and rhe bathrooms were amazing. The steps to the 3rd floor were a bit of a suprise but we tried to minimize our trips up and down, lol. The 1 and only downside was the internet service while we were there. The host did come and try to assist but the connectivity interfered with watching tv and signing on with my computer. Overall a great property and would highly recommend.

The location was close to downtown, and near by fun towns like Lee’s Summit. My wife and I with two friends enjoyed 3 days of KC food, breweries, and friendly people. Andrew was a great host and made check-in and check-out very easy. We will return for sure.
