Newburgh, New York
Historic brick and stone Victorian home perched above the Hudson River. Unobstructed panoramic views of the river and Beacon Mountain from the upper balcony. Walking distance to restaurants and shops on Liberty St. 10 min to Beacon. Wi-Fi, Cable, Smart TV and Sound bar.
2 Adirondack chairs, a propane BBQ grill, and a Solo-Stove fire-pit are arranged in the backyard.
Freight trains, some over 80 train cars long, travel along the Hudson River waterfront. You can hear their classic horns blow as they pass through Newburgh! Ear plugs, eye masks, and blackout window shades are provided as the sunrise is beautifully strong and the train horns can be loud to some. Light sleepers, please take note.
Love these older homes in the area and this one overlooking the Hudson didn’t disappoint. Enjoyed coffee on the second floor balcony and the view all day long! The home had everything we needed and was a quick ride to the shops, restaurants and marina we wanted to go to.
The instructions from the property manager were easy to follow making check in and out a breeze. This is a great property for a quick weekend stay! Thanks so much!
Great little simple place with good proximity to Hudson Valley sights. Nice balcony with view for morning coffee or light dinner.Owner was responsive to our needs. Could be warm on a hot night with no AC. His 2 fans helped. Overall positive stay.
Very comfortable, well-appointed. Beautiful view of the Hudson with second floor balcony. Host went out of his way to accomodate a special need of mine, which i greatly appreciate. He was communicative, reliable, and very helpful. Lovely block in an up an coming area.
Wonderful, clean, quiet, spacious, scenic spot. Stayed three nights on holiday weekend.
Enjoyed the stay here. Eric was a gracious and accommodating host. Neat space
The accomidations we're wonderful. The view was fabulous. The host was absolutely the best. Would definitely recommend this property for a visit to the Hudson Valley.
We enjoyed our stay at Eric's place - it's furnished like an upscale boutique hotel, and the terrace overlooking the river is wonderful. It's on a block of historical homes and the neighborhood is beautiful and peaceful, while offering great proximity to the the waterfront, restaurants, and the town of Beacon just across the bridge. Eric was a kind host (even left us a bottle of bubbly in the fridge since we were celebrating our anniversary!) He answered questions instantly, and gave us recommendations for restaurants & sightseeing in the area. The only downside that travelers going in the summer months should be aware of is that there's no A/C in the apartment - just a ceiling fan and a fan by the bed. We had the bad luck of traveling during a very hot weekend, so nights were very uncomfortable - but the bed itself is VERY comfortable so in cooler months this would be an ideal place to stay. Even without A/C we really enjoyed our stay overall, it was a great weekend, thanks Eric!
Super helpful and even offered recommendations for places to stay
