Escape to your own private oasis at this secluded retreat, where you can soak in a 6-person hot tub while taking in stunning nature views. Inside, you`ll find an open layout perfect for spending quality time with your loved ones. Cozy up by the fireplace and catch a movie on the 65` TV, or challenge your family to board games and video game battles.

But the real highlight of this property is the outdoor space, with a private backyard featuring a hot tub, igloo, yard games, and a firepit. Recharge your electric vehicle with the area`s only 220 EV charger, while the kids have a blast in the fully-stocked kitchen and kid-friendly bedrooms.

Don`t forget to take advantage of our private lakefront access - without the lakefront price. We own a separate lot on the lake, where you can fish, kayak, swim, and enjoy the sunset. Just a short walk down a scenic nature trail will take you there (see photo of the walking trail).

And there`s even more to explore in the surrounding area. We are located in Northern (lower peninsula) Michigan right in the snow belt so we get lots of snow! Take a dip in the community pool, play at the parks, or head to the nearby inland lakes for even more water activities. For the thrill-seekers, there are ATV and dirt bike trails within the subdivision and access to main trails right from the house.

Surrounded by nature, yet equipped with all the modern amenities you could need, this split ranch design with vaulted ceilings is the perfect getaway for families and friends. Come unwind, relax, and make unforgettable memories at our private retreat. Book your stay now and experience the ultimate escape.

We recommend guests to purchase insurance coverage during their stay.
Guests:
It is always recommended that guest purchase additional insurance for their stay.
Please take off shoes and treat the place as you would your own.
The cabin is only suitable for the number of guests you told the host for your stay, please adhere to this occupancy capacity as we do not allow parties on the property. If you do not follow these rules, you may have additional charges.
Please DO NOT tape anything to the walls and/or ceilings.

Wifi:

There is speedy and reliable wifi that you are able to connect to during your stay. It is a DSL and you can use it for streaming and/or zoom calls.

Hot tub:

We are happy to have guests use the hot tub. Please follow instructions at the house. Guests will be responsible for any damage to hot tub or cover as well as any extra fees incurred because of contaminates in the hot tub. ($75 to pump and refill).

Dishwasher:

Anytime you run the dishwasher during your stay, we recommend the heavy duty cycle, run hot water for two minutes before you start the cycle, as it is not the best dishwasher. You may need to hand wash pots and pans to get them clean. Please load and run the dishwasher on a heavy duty cycle before you go. It takes about two hours to run through a whole cycle.

Trash:

Put the trash in the compactor by the mail building, during and at the end of your stay. Trash bags are provided for you under the kitchen sink. Do not store garbage outside. There are bears and other wildlife in the area that will happily dine on your leftovers. We had sightings of bears every year.

Recycling:

If you want to recycle the closest Recycling Center is located on Hayes Tower Road just South of M-32. It is not well marked. Look for a chain link fenced area with two driveways.

Smoking:

Please absolutely no smoking in the cabin, igloo, or hot tub. We provide a smoking tray on the back porch table. Please be mindful to only discard cigarettes in the designated outside trays. We would like to keep the property clean for families, children and nature.

Pets:

Pets are not permitted in the cabin during your stay.

Please Note: smoking or pets in the cabin will result in additional cleaning, possible damage, and potential delays for other guests. Extra fees will be incurred to guest.

Septic System.

The cabin is on a septic system, please only flush towel paper. The septic system cannot handle flushable wipes, tampons, pads, gum etc. It is located at the rear of the house by the back deck, so do not drive vehicles back there.

Lake:

The lake is excellent for both swimming, kayaking, boating, fishing, and ice fishing. There is a designated swimming area by the pool with a dock and a floating dock. Guest are welcome to use the kayaks, canoe and paddleboat, but life jackets MUST be worn. When finished with them, please return the kayaks and canoe to the rack, upside down and lean the paddleboat upright against the tree. Life jackets need returned to the house.
Water levels have been extremely high, however the lake is now receding. If you are operating a watercraft be mindful of the shoreline.

Cameras:

There are two exterior cameras. Which are monitored.

Drinking Water:

The water from the tap is very good for drinking. There is also a purifier located in the fridge.

Yard:

Please keep dirt bikes, four wheelers, SxS, snowmobiles and vehicles off the grass as it does not grow that well. You can park to the right side of the driveway on that grass if needed(west side). Additional parking is located across from the trash compactor too.

Trails:

There are designated trails throughout the subdivision designated for dirt bikes, snowmobiles, etc. The speed limit throughout the subdivision is 25 mph.

Kayaks, Canoe and Paddleboat

All guests must wear U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets and follow the rules of the lake. Any damage to equipment will be the responsibility of the guests. Use caution and enter your own risk. Please return the kayaks and canoe to the rack, upside down. Return the paddleboat in an upright position against the tree. Life jackets go back to the house.

Beds were comfortable, plenty of open space in the cabin, lots of time in the hot tub and really enjoyed the heater inside the igloo. The igloo added nice ambiance to the winter experience! Plenty of snow and central location to many sights and things to do.

Beautiful house and location. The host was timely in responding to any of our questions. The house was clean and equipped with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the two kayaks which had very nice paddles and life jackets.

Great house and responsive host. Only issue really is the hot tub takes hours to heat up in the winter, but has a timer that shuts it off so we couldn’t heat it up to use after skiing.

The property is surrounded by beautiful trees, shining golden yellow with the fall colors. We loved sitting in the hot tub under the stars. The property was in the perfect location within an hours drive to Boyne and Mackinac City. We especially appreciated the high chair and Pack N Play being available for the infant in our party. We would definitely choose this property again in the future.

I stayed here with 3 couples, all with children 2 and under. The home was exactly how described, and fit us all very well. The ranch style home was great because there were no steps for the kids, and with the floor plan it was easy to track them. The house was equipped with all the cookware we needed. We spent most days hanging around the house, and ventured out towards Gaylord each day to get away. During the evening the parents took to the hot tub, and enjoyed watching the stars and talking. The only negative was the road leading to the house was on a dirt road that was covered in holes, so it was a slightly treacherous trip to and from the house, but that may have just been given the time of year, and in my opinion is not enough of a deterrent to avoid the house. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking.
