Head to the living area and you’ll find traditional beams and an arched ceiling giving a really cosy and homely feel. The stylish space includes a tripod style lamp and large prints showcasing Saltburn. The open plan kitchen and dining area has a traditional yet stylish look. Blue coloured brick tiles compliment the off-white kitchen cabinets perfectly. Bedside tables frame either side and tripod lamps create a calming ambience.

The Neighborhood:

Emerald Hideaway is located in the centre of the charming Victorian Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast.

Located in the heart of the town, alongside the shops, bars, bistros and restaurants, with just a short walk to the beach and lower promenade. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance.

Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and Saltburn is included. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are truly beautiful!

Getting Around:

Emerald Hideaway is within walking distance of all that Saltburn has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Saltburn Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.

A gem hidden away at the top of a Victorian house. Loved the layout and decor and the fact everything you needed was there. Would rebook for the next visit. Stones throw from the beach, pier and rail and a 5 minute walk to station and a large sainsburys. Do try coco&rum - Thai food and service at its best.

Loved the property, but outside entrance and first 2 landings let it down

We had a lovely stay. The apartment lived up to its pictures and description. The kitchen lacked a few items but that could be just us. The external appearance of the building should not detract from your stay. My biggest gripe would be the number of ‘friendly’ emails and texts from Virbo regarding the charges that could be levied against me should we not leave the place as specified…

1st time here and Saltburn which had everything we like walks, beautiful beach, pubs and nice places to eat. Emerald Hideaway was ideally situated central to everything so ideal location. Lovely apartment clean and comfortable and everything you’d need to enjoy your stay including comfortable bed with stunning view from the window . Our only negatives were as people who are not tall (5ft 7 and 5ft 4) the bathroom sink was far too high making it awkward and uncomfortable for us to use and also for over 60,s as us no shower mat. All in all tho a fantastic most enjoyable weekend in a lovely apartment.
