The space
This cozy little studio attic apartment is perfect for couples who want to be close to downtown, but still want the privacy of a small quiet neighborhood during their stay. The angled ceilings in this flat are finished with a beautiful shiplap design, adding to the unique feel of the space. Although this home is a duplex, both apartments include entrances that are completely private, so all areas mentioned will be just for you.
Sleeping arangements in the open bedroom area include a comfortable queen and twin bed with top quality bedding and linens to make you feel right at home. In the living room, a flat screen TV is ready to connect to any of your favorite personal streaming applications, providing entertainment for those who choose to spend an evening in.
The kitchen is equipped with a hot plate and a microwave for cooking all your meals. An oven is not currently available in this unit. Stainless steel appliances include a microwave, dishwasher and 2 mini-refrigerators. You'll also find all the cookware, utensils, flatware and dishes you need to prepare a meal start to finish. Our butcher-block island with bar seating for 2-3 can also serve as a work space, if needed.
Finally, the bathroom is equipped with a shower stall and is stocked with the necessary toiletries you'll need during your stay. The washer and dryer are located inside the back door just off the downstairs unit, in a separate shared space all their own. The washer and dryer are the only amenity shared between the guests in both the upstairs and downstairs units.

The host Missy was very helpful and got back to us quickly whenever we had any concerns. The sloped roof was definitely a bit difficult to navigate, if you are 5โ10 or taller itโs almost inevitable you will bump your head a few times. Close enough to downtown for a quick drive or a 15-20 minute walk, but far enough to be in a quiet area. Lots of stairs leading up to the room, if you are not used to climbing stairs it will be difficult bringing your luggage up the staircase. Although, it does feel a bit safer to be up the staircase and not on ground level but, there is only one way in and out of this room. The ability to do our laundry was helpful also. Parking spots could be repaved. For the first floor tenants they are gravel spots, the second floor the spots are on pavement but the pavement is very worn and cracked. Overall we had a nice experience and enjoyed our stay in Knoxville. Thank you!
Super cute, was more spacious than I thought. Great area, super convenient walk to UT campus.
This property was very cute and comfortable. Everything was as pictured. As they note it is on the top floor so there are stairs - which we did not mind. The shower is also pretty small- but you can see that in the pictures as well. We walked each night down to a concert we were seeing across the bridge in downtown Knoxville. Our kiddo is already asking if we can stay again :) We would book here again if travel brings us to Knoxville.
We just loved our stay here! The owners did a great job to make sure we had access to information and things to do in the area. It really was a great location close to downtown. We didn't rent a car, so we walked everywhere! My only complaint would be that I wished it had a regular coffee maker instead of the kuereg.
Perfect for our long girls weekend in Knoxville! Great location - close to everything but still quiet and cozy. Check in & out was easy. Would definitely stay here again!
The Honey Bee Haven was perfect for what we needed to attend Parents Weekend at UT. It definitely had a studio type feel as there are no doors separating the bedroom from living space but because it is long and narrow it felt bigger. We didn't really use any of the amenities except the beds and the shower but it was great. My husband insisted it was walking distance to Neyland Stadium. (insert eye roll here!) We did it but it was a bit of a haul! That said, we like staying on that side of the river because it's less congested than downtown. We would definitely stay again when we come back to see our daughter in Knoxville!
Lovely stay at this cute little unit! The host communicated well and the property was modern, clean and just right! I will definitely stay again!
I will be staying again! I highly recommend!
My daughters and I stayed for four nights for the basketball tournament. This property was perfect, it was close to everything but just out of the way of all the busy areas. The property was very clean and was really quiet. Comminication with the owner was so easy and she worked with us when we realized we needed a extra night and earlier check in. We will be returning again when coming to Knoxville and refering friends and family if they are visiting.
The accommodation itself was quite nice. The couch could definitely be updated. The location was okay. Not far from downtown but Iโd def prefer to drive in vs walk. The road gets more traffic then expected in the mornings. Very quiet at night.
We enjoyed our visit. The apartment has everything you could need and is all new. Beds are great. We could not figure out how to lock the door, but we believe it locked itself.
We had a wonderful time! A friend and I had a โmoms night outโ for Motherโs Day and everything was perfect. My only recommendation is maybe having some light snacks/waters/drinks for guests to enjoy. We were only staying one night so we didnโt bring anything with us when it came to food or drinks. We were very thankful for the coffee and creamer though!
I was visiting my daughter who attends grad school at UT so this was the perfect location. The unit was exactly as described, will definitely stay again!
It was perfect spot for my mini get a way :) I would highly recommend this location. It was cozy!
This was the perfect location for our stay. Walked downtown Knoxville on Saturday AM and walked to the Tennessee Football Game that evening. Great little neighborhood with restaurants you can walk to as well. Will definitely stay here again!
My son and I stayed here for the FL game. Good location out of the crowds, but close enough to be in the middle of them in 10 minute walk. A very nice place, perfect for 2-3 folks.
Simple and perfect location for what I needed
Honey Bee Haven was exactly as described! It was clean, cozy and provided all the basic amenities needed. Location was convenient to downtown while being far enough removed to be quiet and relaxing. Would definitely stay again!
Let me start by saying the place is very cute. The decor and layout were just as advertised,. It was very easy to check in to, and it was in easy walking distance to downtown plus the emerging trendy area on the south bank. The two things that prevented me from giving it a 5 star overall were, first, there were no condiments available. Iโm not expecting a huge array of things, but no salt, pepper, sugar or oil. The things you hate to have to buy when only staying in a place for a few days but are planning on cooking at least a little bit during your stay. I guess Iโve just become used to seeing these things available. The second thing was the sheets were of a cotton/polyester blend. That might make me sound like a princess, but when you are staying in a loft and itโs 90+ degrees outside sheets that arenโt 100% cotton make you sweat like crazy! Because of this my husband and I never really got a good night sleep during our stay. If the sheets were to change then I would absolutely be back.
We had a wonderful stay, and look forward to returning!
