This apartment is located in the historic Clark-Leonard House (circa 1887), in the Near South Neighborhood, 7 blocks from the Capitol and a mile from downtown Lincoln, this delightful 2nd floor apartment offers a comfortable stay for guests. There are other (long-term) apartments on the property and in the house, this is the only short-term rental. The main room has a queen bed, and the sunroom has a 2nd queen size bed. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination, and amenities - hairdryer, shampoo, and other toiletries. The unit has a new mini-split A/C heat pump in the main room and smaller a/c heat pump in the second room. The unit has Wi-Fi, a Roku smart TV, a small kitchen with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, a hot plate, glasses, cups, dishes and flatware. There is a small marble top table and 4 chairs. Washing machines & dryers are available just outside the unit on the same level. There is a pool table on the first floor where you enter, and you are welcome to play pool. The yard is available to you, with tables, chairs, flowers (in season), and a fountain to enjoy. Pets need to be on a leash at all times. We could work something out with the dog area. We have 2 large friendly black labradoodles on the property, Jake & Elwood. Our 3rd floor tenants have 2 small dogs. The basement tenant has 2 medium size dogs. The basement has a separate entrance, and it is not likely you will cross paths. Kickback, relax, and enjoy everything Lincoln has to offer. We have street parking and security cameras. Owners are on the property.

Gorgeous home and neighborhood, friendly host with incredible communication, 5 min away from downtown. WAY bigger than the pictures let on. It's kind of like a mother-in-law suite or a 1 bedroom apartment in a small building of apartments, so there are other people living there, but it's kind of fun to have people living there. It almost feels kind of like a private hostel, but one where you don't really have to interact with people if you don't want to. Quiet besides the occasional creaking of the floors (added to the charming, historical vibe) and the occasional, muffled bark or howl from two SUPER cute and friendly dogs outside (they looked straight out of a Disney movie where there's a couple of black, shaggy dogs who are loyal companions of the handsome, complicated, pirate main character--it was literally the cutest hearing them howl along when they heard a police car in the distance-- they were paid actors, I swear.) There's a ton of historical oddities and treasures throughout the main floors. The room is comfortable, cozy, and reminds you fondly of your great grandmas house.12/10 would recommend and will absolutely stay there again if I ever come out to Lincoln again in the future.

We loved the historic charm of the rental! The communication before and on the day of arrival was great. The rental was clean and very comfortable. We would definitely consider stay here again.
