The room was cute and clean. Small but enough for my husband, dog, and I. The walls were paper thin so you could hear people passing by outside of the apartment. Both in the hall and on the street. The windows were poorly insulated so ac leaked out of them. In fact the ac broke down during our stay. The property manager did their best to accommodate us but the apartment doesn’t even have any ceiling fans or standing fans so we had to buy some to try and survive the night. We only made it to 3am. The hall of the building was cooler than our room.
Close to the Strand and although I was concerned about parking it was free after 4 pm. Great place!
We were sent multiple messages telling us not to check in until 4 because the cleaners needed time to thoroughly clean and sanitize, but when we arrived at 4pm the previous guests hadn't checked out yet and the cleaners told us they only needed 20 minutes to clean the unit. We waited over an hour to get access to the unit and then when we finally got in, the AC wasnt working. It was over 100 degrees outside so we went down to our car to wait in the AC. We asked the property manager if we could be transferred to another one of their open units on the island since we were only staying one night and had already had to change our evening plans. The property manager refused unless the AC wasn't repairable, so we had to wait for the technician to arrive and fix the AC. At that point our evening plans were shot. The property manager refused to respond to any requests for partial reimbursement due to the lost time waiting for access to the unit. The only thing they offered was a late checkout. That evening another renter across the hall had a large party with loud music and several people got drunk and broke glass bottles outside. Someone in the hall tried to break into our unit in the middle of the night, presumably someone drunk who didnt know which door to go to. The windows are the original single pane glass and you can hear everything outside. We were woken up multiple times in the night by sirens. It was clean and cute, but would not recommend.
Great strand location, easy check-in, repsonsive prop manager
