Perfect for our needs! So much character, we love what you did to turn this space into a rental. Great size and location. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well appointed. Wouldn’t change a thing!!!
I stayed at this same luxury loft in the summer with my husband and 4 kids (ages 14-23). The space is plenty big for 6. Great kitchen with all the cooking supplies needed. Comfortable couches and chairs for watching tv. (Though NOT a lot of channels available). Eating table great for meals and playing games. Shower down the hall still has hot water issues. Could use notes on how to use the water controls. Location of loft is easy to get to. Town of LaSalle is a little quiet but seems safe. Easy to drive to neighboring towns of Ottawa, Utica, Peru. Starved Rock Park easy 5 min drive. Would stay here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this great historic property.
Very spacious
We had a great time. Loft is very nice. Photos are accurate of what it actually looks like. Very comfortable beds.
I stayed there with my bridesmaids for my wedding. I was surprised at how large the loft was. The only issue we had were the showers the hot water had an issue on the first day and the shower heads needs to be cleaned . Other than that it was lovely. I would recommend to stay at this location.
Fun loft space within walking distance to several restaurants. Sweet visiting center and a short drive to hiking!
The condo was wonderful and beautifully embellished. It was located close to great restaurants and my Illinois family. We would definitely stay there again
A beautiful loft in the old downtown. It’s close to shopping and multiple places to eat.
Had a blast, the location was great and close to starved rock which was the goal. Close to the restaurants, parking was easy, the place has everything you need. All in all great place!
We loved the spaciousness of the loft. It was a great home base for our weekend - a few restaurants to walk to, but not loud at night. Our major issue was with the water temp in the showers - one was scalding. The owners gave us directions to fix it, but they need to have some signage showing the fix for all guests. Since I saw this problem listed in other reviews, I'd recommend checking with the owners on whether they have posted directions for using the shower before you book it. Otherwise, great stay
Nice property. Clean. Can have street noise. Over all good experience
The loft is clean and spacious, and ideally located for visiting Starved Rock State Park. Showers are inadequate: water temperature of one shower is very hot (no way to cool down) and the other has low water pressure. Beds in the walk-in closets are uncomfortable and there is no lighting accessible from inside the rooms. Wifi is accessible only downstairs.
Let me preface by saying that I've stayed in more than a dozen short term rentals over the years, so I know what's industry standard and what goes above and beyond. This was one of the nicest rentals I've stayed in. It was very high-end for a rental, and it's clear that the owners have spent a lot of money on renovations. I stayed at the property with my mom, sister, and 6 of my sister's friends for a bachelorette weekend. We went kayaking and hiking and had dinner at Uptown Grill. I was worried the loft would be too small, but there were air mattresses in both huge master closets plus tons of extra bedding. I was also worried that the bathroom situation would be weird since the bathrooms are en suites, but there are also doors to allow access from the hallways. Plenty of towels for everyone, and the beds were comfortable. Overall, everyone enjoyed the stay here! Our only complaint was that LaSalle is such a pretty town with a bunch of cute shops that we didn't get to visit because they were all closed on Sundays. If you plan to shop, be sure to visit before 4 on Saturday. The visitor's center was open on Sunday and had food plus some light shopping. Thanks, Thomas!
It was very spacious and clean. Walking distance to a few restaurants and shops, but not much there. We mostly went to hike and relax, so it was just fine. Had some trouble with shower water temperature and getting movie channels on TV, but other than that it was very nice?
We stayed in La Salle as we were unable to get adjoining rooms at the Starved Rock Lodge for a wedding. Downtown La Salle is quiet and quaint and this property is in the middle of it. The loft was well appointed and we all felt at home in every way. Everything is updated and the furniture was clean and comfy. Water pressure in the showers wasn't great but that's a minor gripe. I usually complain about cheap, soft mattresses in rental units but the master bed in the loft was just fine for even my achy back. There's a nice coffee shop / bakery right across 1st St....coffee was nothing special but the breakfast sandwiches hit the spot. Overall a nice experience. The owners were quick to respond to inquiries and everything was pretty straightforward!
