Historic Hilltop Guesthouse - Charming studio/cottage one block from downtown

The accommodation is a little stand alone cottage. It was a great space, very cozy and comfortable. The fixtures, fittings and decor were first class and the style gave it a lovely homely feel. Beverly and Don were the epitome of southern hospitality, we were met with a personalised greeting, Beverly then presented us with a plate of out of fresh out of the oven home made cookies which were delicious. Beverly and Don gave us a wealth of information about what to see, what to do and where to eat. We followed their recommendations and they did not disappoint. Laurel was a pretty special place, made all the more special by staying with Beverly and Don, it was like visiting family.

Beverly and Don were lovely hosts. We were even greeted with homemade cookies and a personalized welcome sign. The studio was just as presented. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Everything worked as needed. We loved being able to walk to town. The studio is located in the historical district of Laurel which is in the midst of many beautiful homes. Thank you, Beverly and Don, for such a wonderful stay in Laurel.

You could walk into town and there were many shops and places to eat! Our Hosts came over and introduced themselves. Beverly and Don were just a lovely couple. We had en enjoyable time!

Bev was fantastic to deal with prior to our arrival and even after! The guest house was just what we needed for our one-night stay in Laurel. We sat in the yard after supper, and Bev brought us a plate of cookies while we chatted with her husband, Don. I almost wish we had more time to spend here in Laurel! I'm positive we will look to Bev's property on any future visits.

This cute guesthouse is a wonderful place to stay in Laurel, MS. It's comfortable and convenient to whatever you are in Laurel for. We would definitely stay there again.

Cottage was very well maintained and the property owners were very friendly, even baked us some cookies which we enjoyed the first night with a hot cup of coffee. Bed was comfortable and great wi-fi access. Several great local stores to shop at and places to eat near by. Excellent place for a couple to stay.

Sweet cottage with super sweet owners who made our stay absolutely delightful. Beautiful historic homes with tree lined streets. Bed was super comfortable, great shower/tub and it has everything you need at your fingertips! Thank you Bev and Don…can’t wait to stay again!

Don & Beverly were the sweetest hosts! Communication was top notch and the space was just as described. The cottage is perfectly located, within walking distance to everything downtown, if you wish.

The place was exactly as described. It was amazingly close to the downtown area where everything is. The host was easy to communicate with and even though she was out of town, made sure she was available if needed. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone who wants to visit this cool little town.

Our stay could not have been better! The hosts were amazing and the cottage was so clean and comfortable! We were given homemade cookies which were delicious! We enjoyed touring downtown Laurel and relaxing in the lovely backyard!

We were greeted by the owners with friendly smiles and a plate of homemade cookies! Later we ran in to them at a community theater production. Recommendations were made for shopping and restaurants. a lovely experience!

Lovely little guest cottage that was conveniently located to historic downtown Laurel. We even discovered that one of our favorite home renovations on Home Town was right across the street! The owner was extremely helpful and even baked us cookies. Would stay there again if we come back to Laurel.

Beverly and Don were out standing hosts. They met us upon arrival and quickly responded to our requests. They made us feel part of their family. Also their recommendations were spot on regarding where to eat shop and explore. When we come back to Laurel we'll only stay in their cute quiet and clean Hilltop Guest House.

While we never saw our host, everything was explained ahead of time, and our stay went very smoothly.

We had the most wonderful experience in Laurel. The Hilltop Cottage was perfect for a dear friend and I to have a Ladies getaway. It was her Birthday celebration! We loved staying near downtown and Beverly was a wonderful host! She also bakes the best chocolate chip cookies and has so many great recommendations!

Perfect property for 2 people. This property is a short walk to town and located in the historic district. Sweet host and met us with a plate of cookies. Cute cottage, very clean, comfortable mattress…which is important after a long day of walking! The first day we walked into town and visited shops and restaurants. The second day we took a tour and went to places outside of downtown. Hilltop Guesthouse is the perfect location for your stay in Laurel. You won’t be disappointed and we plan on going back for Christmas, as we were told the homes are all decorated beautifully.

The cottage is a studio-type layout.Very comfortable, and clean.Beverly and Don (the hosts) were friendly, and non-intrusive.We enjoyed our stay very much.

Beverly was very accommodating and welcoming. Everything was as it was described online. The bed was sooo comfortable, I had some of the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. This was a personal getaway for peace and mental health and this place was perfect! I can’t recommend it enough!

This little cottage was perfect for our 3 night stay in Laurel. We were close to everything we wanted to do. We found lots of good food and shops to visit! I highly recommend this cozy cottage for it's great location and environment!

We had a wonderful time visiting Laurel. The guesthouse was the perfect place to stay. It was close to downtown and very comfortable. The owners were very friendly and very accommodating. We would love to come back another time!

The area was everything we had hoped-for. We had an excellent stay. A total surprise and one that should be noted, is the Hellfighters Complex. A must see for anyone visiting the area.

This was a very pleasant experience. We felt like we had known the owners forever. Great location and accurate portrayal of the location. We really enjoyed it.

My wife and I enjoyed dining and relaxing in Laurel, Ms.. Love the home town atmosphere. We made some friends there and enjoyed dining at Bird Dog bistro, Buzzards Roost and The Commissary. Our time in Laurel was short but sweet. The Hilltop guest house is great and cozy. We will be back.

Spotless, fresh, comfy & cozy..everything you need for a getaway to a sweet little home town. Bed and bedding were a dream, cottage was adorable, lots of TV choices, everything you need for a cup of coffee ..perfect!

The Hilltop Guesthouse was the perfect location and accommodations for my wife and I on our visit to Laurel. It was such a cozy, warm place, with everything we needed for our relaxing 2 day stay. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and then came back to relax on the outside guest chairs. Beverly was such a delight to work with and her inside tips on restaurants and sights to see in Laurel was extremely helpful. We definitely give our stay a 5 star rating!
