Alamogordo, New Mexico
Unique, historic adobe 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment right in the heart of Alamogordo. Close to grocery stores and restaurants. This apartment is above our beer & wine garden so there is potential for noise but if you book we hope you will come downstairs to enjoy a NM craft beer or delicious wine! This space is perfect for TDY stays. We do rent this space nightly but prefer a longer term stay for Holloman personnel. We will work with your housing allotment. If you're interested in viewing this space message me for an appointment.
Almost too good to be true. Clean an spacious. Hats off to the decorator. Cant beat it especially because it was half the price of the nice hotels in Alamogordo. Next time we are in town we will definitely stay here.
Beautiful views from the outdoor patios!
Leaving this 2 star review is hard for me. Thursday-Saturday the downstairs beer & wine bar turns into a club. Thursday is Karaoke that goes until about 11:30pm. Friday & Saturday is club music that goes until about 1am. You can absolutely 100% hear the music in the bedrooms… the bass is bumpin’. In fact it’s bumpin’ so much that the living floor is literally shaking. It was so bad that we had no choice but to ask for a refund and ended up staying somewhere else (we actually went over the Las Cruces). The owners have to get this fixed otherwise, I fear that other folks will have the same problem… Here’s my review setting aside the DJ: The place was absolutely adorable and plenty for 4 adults (2 couples). It’s close enough to our main reason for going to Alamogordo: White Sands National Park. Food & grocery is within a few minutes of driving and it is above a beer and wine garden so you don’t even have to drive to get a drink! If it wasn’t for the noise, this would be a perfect place to stay.
Apartment was as described and exactly like pics. Very comfortable, but DJ on Thursday-Saturday nights you can hear, but didn't bother me when going to sleep. Will definitely book again
Pictures in description are not accurate, as well as the area descriptions, get ready for news like a bucket of cold water when you finally get communication from landlord, yes there is a bar, but they don't mention that there will be a DJ just under the living room and dining room that you won't be able to sleep all night besides hearing the fights that happen at the bar, no private parking space as is being used also for bar customers, living room sofa is very old and ripped, there some kind of looking cameras in the bedrooms (I might be mistaking), a door in the kitchen that says not an exit or entrance do not open (picture in description dont have the sign), to me it was kind of scary to have a door that I didn't know what it was for, might as well just put a sign that says it's for cleaning supplies even that is not for that, lock where key was in I spent more than the time needed to be able to use it, had to leave and come back the next morning so there it goes a paid day waisted, manager only offer to reimburse one day, even the last day when I left the key locket didn't work I had to leave it in a hidden place, scratches all around the floor and walls, sink faucet is not working good. Defenetely will never book this place again and I hope and everyone else will read the description many times and study the area before booking this place.
My husband and I stayed here for a few nights while we explored white sands NP. The rental was so very cute and really clean. Had everything we needed and was less than a 20 min drive to the park and even included saucers to use on the dunes! The only bummer was the tap house downstairs was closed the whole time we were there and we would have liked to have checked it out. Overall would highly recommend!!
Loved the apartment and it's location!
Stayed a Wednesday and Thursday night. You can hear the music on Thursday, but it didn’t bother us. It’s a very nice place. It had everything we needed. It was easy to find. White Sands National Park is 20 minutes away.
There was a problem at checkin. But property owner was contacted and quickly remedied the problem. It was a nice place to stay while visiting family at holloman
Overall this place exceed my expectations. I'd definitely will be staying again. D. Soko
My sister & I enjoyed staying at the pink abode. It was clean and comfortable and had everything you need. It has a beautiful view of the mountains. It sits on top of beer & wine garden which didnt effect us because they are closed on Monday & Tuesday. We stayed Sunday through Wed. It was in a good location with easy access to stores. The only down side to staying here is that a train runs through behind the establishment on a regular basis all day and night. We really didnt mind much. We were happy to have private space with our own bedrooms making it a better option to a motel and at a comparable price if not less.
We cannot say enough about this property and its family!! They were probably the nicest Hosts that we have come across and we have stayed in many. We have not stayed in hotels for almost 3 years now because we love the price and amenities of renting a home or apartment were we have more room, availability for cooking, separate bedrooms and be so much more comfortable. A literal Home Away from Home. The place we stayed in was the upstairs apartment, next time we want to stay in the equally adorable downstairs apartment!! You wont be disappointed. They have a small courtyard where you can sit by a gas fire and have cocktails and chat! The family was in the process of opening their small beer wine bar/garden with humidor just below the apartment. We really wished we could have been there for the grand opening but we missed it by a few days. Super family friendly as well. You are in town so you will have traffic sounds as you are close to everything, restaurants everywhere if you don't want to cook! The view from the upstairs balcony is beautiful mountains. I wish I could add pictures. There is also a train that comes through town but I absolutely loved hearing it in the mornings because it reminded me of my childhood. The place was beautifully decorated and clean. We heard they will also have a game room opening soon as well. Cant wait to come back for a visit. Our daughter is USAF and we had come in for her wedding, so military families....You will LOVE it!! We would recommend this place to anyone traveling to the area. When my husband first saw this pink Adobe Casita he was like, really...PINK? You cant miss it! He completely fell in love with the place, the history and the family!! We all did! We cant wait to come back 3
