A quaint, cozy cabin just a 30 second walk to Superior with free kayaks/canoes. Centrally located between Marquette and Munising (Pictured Rocks) on 2 lakes, you can easily enjoy the beauty of the U.P. on site or with a short drive. From the property you can paddle, rock hunt, watch eagles, Northern lights, meteor showers, and the sunrise and set over the water. We also have a charter fishing service on site to catch lake trout. The nearest restaurant, the Brownstone, is just 5 min away!

Stayed Sep 2, 2021Staff was willing to bring one of their canoes across street to Deer Lake for fishing. Cabin was very dated & furnishings could use an update. Guests should be advised to bring own toiletries in addition to all towels -bath & kitchen

Stayed Jul 18, 2025Our one night stay at Kimars’s Resort was amazing but too short! We loved the classic cottage that was spotless, the very friendly owners and staff, and the spectacular lake views. Next time we will enjoy more of the resort’s amenities.

Stayed Jun 29, 2025Charming resort with individual cabins and communal pavilion and campfire pit 20 minutes west of Munising. Quiet, peaceful, and well-maintained cabin on Lake Superior. Smaller lake across the street great for swimming. Easy drive to all the sites in Munising and Pictured Rocks.

Stayed Oct 19, 2023Communication from the beginning was wonderful. Sarah had a list of places to visit along with restaurants to try. Made planning so much easier. The cabin was wonderful. A short walk to Lake Superior with wonderful views. You are a short drive to so many experiences. We will definitely stay here again!
