Stayed Sep 10, 2025For my third trip to Bracebridge, I wanted a change from staying at overpriced mediocre hotels and instead tried VRBO for the first time and I loved it! James and his dog, Mabel, were the quintessential hosts. Mabel and I became fast friends and her coming down to hang out with me was a definite highlight…she’s a special girl! James was great to deal with; he was very friendly, helpful, and I really appreciate all he put into ensuring my stay went well.The apartment itself is a beautiful, private walkout, surrounded by woods, with all the comforts of home. The kitchen is stocked with all the items necessary to cook up whatever you want, a super cosy living area, and a comfortable bed. Hotel bathrooms are, for me, the worst, but this bathroom was functional and perfectly spacious, a good sized shower with fantastic glass doors (a relief from gross shower curtains) with both a handheld and rain shower heads-ample towels were also supplied.It is located at the end of Cedar Lane, so some kind of transportation should be a serious consideration…the walk into town is a long one, along a not too pedestrian-friendly route. BUT it is only a 7 minute walk to Little High Falls, and it’s worth checking out.Staying here contributed to this Bracebridge visit being my favourite so far, I will definitely look to book here again for my next trip
