Happy Cocoon - Immersion in the historic center

This apartment was surprisingly comfortable and roomy - roomier than the photos suggest - and was within easy walking distance of the heart of old Blois. It was great to have a reserved parking spot. Though, it was tight! The only downside for us was that the keybox was about a mile away from the apartment location. We were two couples traveling together, and we sometimes wanted to go our separate ways during the day. A co-located keybox makes it way easier when people want to come and go at different times.

Location was great, walkable to all Blois attractions and city center, 3rd floor walk up. The apartment didn't seem clean, stained fabric and rug, mildewy shower, dirty sponges. The amenities were lacking - no clean sponges, paper towels, napkins, 1 dishwasher tab, empty hand soap containers. The apartment had a strange cooking smell, and air freshener bottles were empty, I bought a candle which I did not light, but it helped. The home was set for 4 people to occupy with 1 bath towel and 1 pillow per person, no hand towels in bathroom. The convection oven did not work, when I emailed the manager he said to look for the english instructions on use in the apartment. It did not address the problem I had so I could not use the cook top while there. The managers were responsive but I don't feel like I should need to go looking for instructions on how to use the apartment appliances. Other vrbos generally have a binder with all the information there for you. The bedroom heater worked 2/4 nights. Dishwasher and Laundry worked fine. Parking - if you have a tiny car - then you can probably maneuver in and out of the parking area if the other spots are filled. I had a Fiat 600, which is a small car , and could not do so as it was a rental and I was pretty afraid of dinging it. So I paid for street parking one night. The parking area also has a lot of dog poop in it so watch your step.
