Perfect location for us!
A good place to explore the city. Very nice apartment, located close to the L-train.
Spent a girls weekend in Chicago with best friends. This spot was the perfect getaway! The apartment is spacious and tastefully decorated. Plenty of room to visit and hang out. Bedrooms were comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and easily accessible by train or bus (or Uber!). We loved heading out to the walkable shopping district around the corner. Paul was a great host - communicative and friendly! We'd love to return for a future weekend away!
Fantastic home! We felt so comfortable the moment we stepped in the door. Very charming place and neighborhood. We walked everywhere around Andersonville!
This is our second visit to Winona House, we liked it so much the first time around. It's a great location for exploring Chicago! We feel safe in the neighborhood and there are lots of good transportation options. The place is clean and welcoming. Plenty of linens, nice soaps, comfortable beds. We looked forward to coming home each night after long days of walking and exploring. Paul's communication is excellent, and he is a great host. Thank you, Paul. We truly look forward to our next visit!
Wonderful, extended stay and I can’t rave about the property and host enough. I am coming back next year. Thanks Paul.
We are three seniors (65+) in Chicago for a concert at Wrigley Field. We wanted our own bedrooms and this rental was perfect. The beautiful residential neighborhood is only a few blocks from a busier street that has many nice restaurants and some shopping. The apartment is upstairs, but we had no trouble with the stairs. It was clean, roomy and comfortable. We rode Amtrak from Iowa to Union Station and used Lyft for all our transportation needs and were very pleased with the quick pick-ups. We would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.
We had a great stay at this property. It was clean, comfortable and well organized. We would highly recommend anyone choosing this apartment for your visit to the Chicago area.
This is a lovely 2nd floor unit in a nice neighborhood. It was wonderful to come back to after a day of sightseeing. Paul was an excellent host and provided all needed info prior to our arrival, as well as nice touches like plush towels, crushed ice, and keurig coffee pods. Staying here added to our enjoyment of the city.
This is such a great apartment, I'd happily live here. (Except there's winter here...) Well set up space with pretty decorations; 2 nice relaxation areas with a sunroom and living room, with a dining table to spread out and work. Super convenient and fun neighborhood and walkable to the red line. We couldn't ask for more!
Host and neighborhood were wonderful!
Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful brownstone in Andersonville/Chicago. Short walk to lovely restaurants and coffee shops. A special shout out to the Dollop diner, Isabella’s bakery, and Giordano’s pizza. Paul has done a great job of preserving the original architecture and fixtures for the home. We stayed on the second level, and it was very comfortable and quiet, and had everything we needed for our stay. It was an easy less than 1 mile walk to lake shore and was easy commute into downtown Chicago. Thank you again for sharing your home!
The weather in Chicago was perfect during our stay, and Paul’s place is very well located in the neighborhood. There are lots of restaurants, shops, cafés and bars a short walk from the apartment. There’s ample parking and public transportation is easily accessible. The apartment is well equipped and the three bedrooms were perfect for our multigenerational stay. Communication was easy with Paul. We would stay there again.
Clean, great neighborhood, perfect for our family of four!
The property was well kept and clean, Paul was incredible to deal with.
Wonderful experience and location. It was a great place to stay and return to Chicago with our family to share where we once lived. Thank you for the great accommodations.
Great host. Excellent communication. Nice comfortable place.
Very clean, lovely 3-befroom with spacious living, dining and kitchen areas, and all amenities we needed. Property owner was very easy to communicate with, and quickly responsive to questions. One of several cute neighborhoods clustered around shopping and dining. Close drive to downtown Chicago. We highly recommend!
Lovely, cozy apartment close to everything in fun Andersonville!
We came to Chicago for a long weekend and we're so pleased with our stay. The neighborhood is charming and central to every where we went. The property was comfortable and so cool. Highly recommend.
This is a great quiet apartment in the city. Kitchen was well appointed and beds were comfortable. It was a great base from which to explore Andersonville and Chicago. After an hour there we understood the rule about shoes....so many leaves. But it was what you want out of this type of stay...a home away from home.
Everything was pretty good.
The property owner, Mr. Harty, was fantastic! We arrived early and he had the property ready for us to check in. This place is amazing. Great neighborhood and walking distance from downtown Andersonville. The CTA is only minutes away and that makes it easy to go anywhere in the city. The check in and out process was very easy. I would definitely stay in this property again and would recommend it to others.
Stay was everything we had hoped for. The place is well equipped with everything you need and is a short walk away from all the necessities. Would highly recommend.
