Great Apartment 35 min to NYC & 15 to EWR Airport

I was extremely happy with this find. It was in Newark, but just an hour bus ride to Manhattan (I hear its quicker by train) Everything worked out. The stairs to the attic apartment were a bit steep and tiny but serviceable. The apartment was large. King bedroom living room full kitchen bathroom and shower. Even a pullout couch in living room. Plenty of closet space.

Overall it was a good experience. The only thing I didn't like was a very strong smell of cigarettes and coffee around 4:00am that cut the sleeping time. Other than that, it was excellent

I was in town for work and was happy to stay at this place. It was recently renovated and clean. What I liked was that it was large, clean, secure, had wifi, 2 tvs and good working AC. The owner was helpful and responsive. Parking on the street requires a tag but 1. I dont think they check and 2. There is non permit parking on the surrounding blocks.

Me and my husband enjoyed our stay here in Newark. Everything was super close and convenient. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. The apartment is very clean and looks just like the ad. We felt safe with the security locks. We will definitely be back in September.

Rental was ok, was only there only to sleep as we planned to go into the city. Had to get more bedding because the sheets were a little dirty. The check in process was a little challenging as we didn’t hear from the host until after I reached out to VRBO support. Only received a code to enter the property. We didn't receive a check-in procedure or a check-out procedure so we were unsure about the process when arriving or leaving the rental the first and last day.

The place is good and the location is great, 10 min walk to the train. We felt safe with the security codes on both doors. We loved having air con since the apartment is on the top floor. Very nice little kitchen. Good place! :)

My partner and I took a trip to New York City to celebrate my birthday. This was a great place to stay due to the cost being a third of the price of a hotel in Manhattan. It was a 40 minute commute to Manhattan, but went by quick since you just get on a bus and a train and relax while you travel. We felt like we were on top of the world, staying in the third floor of this home. But do be conscious walking up the wooden floors late at night as they are noisy and you don’t want to wake up the 2 other residents of this home. As for the host, I didn’t receive check in information until I had to reach out to VRBO support and they contacted him. Luckily I messaged 1 hour before we arrived and got it sorted out, but wished they would have sent the information over before check-in time.
