Stayed Mar 28, 2019Our stay could not have been better. The house is very nicely furnished, and is in a great location. It was easy to walk anywhere in town we wanted to go. And equally easy to find free parking on the streets. We would love to return to this part of Sicily, and would happily stay in this house again. It was great!

Stayed Oct 2, 2017Gugliemo's apartment in Scicli was perfect for us. We are a retired couple in our mid-70's not being able to drive right up to the door was not a problem for us. It is an easy walk to where you park your car for free. Comfortable beds, very clean overall, a decently equipped kitchen, thoughtful welcoming package, historical center location, very reasonable rent, etc all made this apartment a great choice. We used it as a base to explore the area by car and as a central location to enjoy Scicli by foot.

Stayed Sep 15, 2017The house was beautifully situated, tucked away in a quiet corner yet within yards of the central area of Scicli. The town was a joy. much of interest, and a pleasant ambience. There were shops and restaurants to cater for all tastes. From here we were able to visit other places including Syracuse, Noto, Donnafugata, Cava d'Ispica and more. There was a warm welcome and the house provided comfort and every facility that one might want.

Stayed Apr 18, 2017We enjoyed our weeklong stay at Guglielmo and Rosalba's apartment very much. It looked exactly as pictured on the website and was quite comfortable, spotlessly clean and quiet. The location was perfect for exploring Scicli on foot and for day trips to the surrounding area. It was very well furnished and supplied with everything needed for our stay. We have rented many apartments, and have never stayed in one as well stocked with food (wine, oil, spices, garlic juice, milk, , jam, cookies, chocolate, tea, coffee, etc,) as well as grooming items, laundry supplies, washing machine and much more. It is clear they have tried to think of everything to make for a pleasant stay for their guests. Guglielmo met us in the plaza, directed us to parking, and responded very quickly if we needed assistance or information. We would highly recommend the apartment and would love to stay there again.

Stayed Mar 11, 2016Noi abbiamo passato una settimana fantastica in Scicli nel' appartamento di Guigelmo e Rosalba. The house has everything one could possibly need and Guiglelmo went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and welcome, a bottle of wine, cookies and fruit were even waiting for us in the apartment along with other staples to get us started. He also picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. The appartment really is great and in a fantastic location in the heart of the old town. We would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This house is ideally located in the heart of beautiful Scicli. Despite its central location it is extremely quiet being located at the end of a lovely alley. The alley is brimming with real Italian residential life but is very quiet at night. Inside the house is truely charming with wonderful high vaulted ceilings. It is very spacious, clean and has everything required for self catering, Along with all of this, the owners, Gugielmo and Rosalba, are incredibly welcoming and generous. On arrival we felt immediately at home and were very happy there. Superb. Tom & Bridget, ireland

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We wanted to see the places of Montalbano, and we were lucky to have chosen Scicli as our home base. The Dammuso is as beautiful as pictured. Very very clean, comfortable and full of nice surprises. We thank Guglielmo and Rosalba for making us feel so welcome, for their good advice about restaurants, shopping, and driving directions, and for their pleasant company. We would be very happy to return to Scicli during one of it's special festivals and we would definitely book the Dammuso again. Speriamo bene!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were attracted to Scicli due to its Baroque history and, of course, the Montalbano links! We selected the Dammuso because we love staying somewhere a bit different that offered so much. This was a winning choice! The Dammuso - a traditional stone house for this part of Sicily - is very spacious. it is characterised by the high stone alcoves which house the windows and give the property very high ceilings and sense of space. The separate kitchen seats 4 easily and is equipped with everything you could need - including basic provisions like coffee, sugar, tea, oils etc. The lounge is large and has a comfy sofa, tv, wifi and a selection of dvds - including Montalbano episodes - to spot where you have just walked! The main bedroom is an upstairs high ceiling-ed loft and very comfortably serviced - including slippers. There's a lovely tiled bathroom with a great power shower and a separate laundry room. We loved the fact that the Dammuso always keeps cool and as such is a welcome relief from the hot bright sun. It felt like we were staying in a piece of history rather than just a holiday home. The place would easily fit 4-6 and as a couple we had oodles of space. The dammuso is a short walk from the main squares of Scicli - including the Questura in Montalbano and some of the squares where scenes are shot. It is a beautiful place to sit and enjoy people watching, talking to the friendly locals and half- hoping there will be a filming session. A number of great little restaurants are nearby serving delicious food. Oh and the granite - I think our favourite granite of the trip were had in Scicli's baroque square. The town itself merits a number of walks to explore the Baroque architecture and the vistas from the hilltops. The sea is around a 15 minute drive and Scicli is a great base for exploring this part of Sicily - whilst feeling smug that you are staying in the best place! Gugliemlo and Rosalba are impeccable hosts. We were greeted, made to feel immensely welcome and provided with a plethora of sweet treats and a bottle of wine. Gugliemlo spent an afternoon with us helping to sort out a broken rental car - for which we are forever grateful. Due to the narrow streets of the historic centre , we recommend parking in the many free spaced about a street or two away. Un posto excellente da passare vacanze in questa citta storica. Ci e piacuto un sacco. Fornito da tutto il necessario per una vacanza. Grazie mille e gia pensiamo di tornare!
