Golf course , mountains and lake views Stepping Stones Retreat

We enjoyed our stay. The location is great and close to all amenities in North Vernon. Nice quiet area with amazing views of Swan Lake and Vernon. Dog friendly and great hosts.

Fabulous location, well stocked kitchen, great view overlooking the golf course… quiet, secluded area … we were able to relax, enjoy the sunrise and the stars… the hosts were great… communicated with us well in advance of our arrival and almost immediately with the 2 questions we had while we were there…. will definitely return when next in the vernon area

Gorgeous spot!

This studio suite is absolutely beautiful! Very comfortable bed! It has everything you need including a fan and an extra heater for winter, fully stocked kitchen and even a hairdryer and straightening iron in the bathroom! Everything is new and in great condition! The location is so peaceful and is set amongst numerous properties with horses! The walk around Stepping Stones Crescent was perfect for the dog and us humans! Beautiful views, properties and animals! Vernon has so many opportunities for cycling, walking, hiking, lake time etc. We appreciated all of the helpful pamphlets left in the room telling us about the trails to explore!! Our host, Jen, couldn’t have been kinder! We are looking forward to going back to relax in the serenity at Jen’s and to explore more that Vernon has to offer!

The property is fine. I stayed 2 nights. In retrospect, the stairs and climb up and down are in the photos. It is a lot of carry and climbing up and down with your stuff. I can't emphasize enough, it is a steep grade down to the stairs and back up. At night, there is very poor lighting, so be careful. Overall the place was, clean, quiet and my dogs were fine. Dogs must stay on leash outside. The pups even enjoyed the company of the mouse that was staying with us. This isn't a problem as the entrance is ground level and likely left open by other guests. It happens - it just surprised me. Air con was good. Shower no bath tub. Photos show day and night view. The circle is where my flashlight shone, the black is what you see without a flashlight.

First time staying at a VRBO. Rental was an open concept basement suite, not expected. Was clean and modern, great amenities, view is lovely, but disappointed that the owners were on site when we arrived. Did not feel like we could be comfortable for fear of being noisy or even watched, felt awkward. Could hear them walking around upstairs in the evening. Felt like we stayed at a bed and breakfast without the breakfast!

We stayed 2 nights. Everything was perfect. Bed was very comfortable. Spotless from top to bottom. Jen was very quick to respond and helpful with suggesting local places to check out. Would definitely stay again if we’re in the area in the future.

Great location with views of valley, lake, and golf course. Private entrance. We had the use of the BBQ which was great! Awesome neighbourhood for a loop walk.Close to Vernon (10 minute drive) but country atmosphere.Host was responsive to questions via VRBO messages (didn't have to wait longer than 10 minutes for responses).Stay here for a great experience at a cost less than the local hotels!

This was a beautiful property and was perfect for my work getaway. Much prefer these stays compared to hotels. I would stay here again. Very clean and cozy.

I wasn’t sure what to expect. We have stayed at some places and they weren’t the same as the pictures. But this place, wow wow wow!! Gorgeous, totally clean and amazing! It had an amazing view, all the amenities we needed for the weekend-it was a restful get-away which we very much needed and loved. Our host Jen was super friendly, super welcoming and our experience was overall 100% awesome. I would highly, highly recommend this property and we will for sure be return customers. Thank you Jen!

This place was perfect for my friend and I in town for the Armstrong IPE. Getting down to the suite is a tiny little trek down a slope but a couple trips from the car was no problem. The views from this place are incredible. We loved sitting outside having a drink and taking in the scenery. The kitchen has everything you need to throw together quick snacks or breakfast (would have loved salt and pepper) the king bed is firm but the most comfortable firm. Instructions for check in was easy. The fan and a/c was amazing at keeping us cool and comfortable. Overall a very functional and cute place to stay with a gorgeous view. Highly recommend!
