    Beacon Lodge is an art deco era gem and it is lovely this building and architecture style lives on (as do many other fabulous art deco homes/apartment blocks in Glenelg South). While Beacon Lodge exterior could do with some renovation, Glenelg Stay at The Bay was very modern. The kitchen was well equipped as is the apartment generally (everything you could want). The apartment decor was very comfortable and homely. The apartment is ideal for a couple (maybe a couple with a young child?). There are two bedrooms, however, the layout is awkward; second bedroom doesn't have a separate exit to the lounge room but is connected to the main bedroom and you have to walk through it to get to the lounge room. The parking advertised is really not suited to any mid to larger car. The garage looks original and it doesn't look like any repairs have been made since it was built. The sliding door didn't slide across fully and we gave up even trying to park inside. For our 8 nights, we parked on the street. Communication was excellent. Janet provided all the information regarding access and when we had a query during our stay. The area is quiet and within walking distance to the Broadway and to the Brighton-Glenelg Beach walking path. Would we stay there again ... YES.

    This was a fantastic place to stay - the apartment is modern, well equipped and has everything needed for a very comfortable stay. The location is excellent, being only a short walk from Glenelg. Janet and Marcus are wonderful hosts - the communication was great, accurate and accessing the accommodation was straightforward. Loved the app to detailing the accommodation and attractions in the local area. Would happily stay here again!

    Comfy bed with electric blankets made our sleeps soooo good! Great location. Exterior of building is very old but the interior has been completely renovated and is completely modern and fresh, you wouldn’t know it was an old building. Love that it still has the exterior charm and quirks and character of old style. Great communication with hosts. Hair dryer is great!

    1) Garage is quite small .. our rental car , rav 4 was just / barely fitted.. so after the second day we did not use the garage.. 2) the round table was not stable, chairs were bit too law. 3) if you can .. pls put the mirror in the second bed rm. 4) the key box was hard to be opened. But overall we are happy. Thank you.

    Great spot! 3 min drive to anything you might need and close to the foreshore. All amenities available as well inside the home making it a very easy living situation.
