Galleon Resort Efficiency in the old town

Close to everything, we walked everywhere, great pool, nice little beach, hot tub. friendly staff. Need better soap & shampoo, coffee pods, creamer would be a nice touch.

The location is excellent and the staff were all very friendly. I think the room we had definitely needed to be updated and needs some tlc.

Going back again loved this location. Nice property

We love the vibe of the Galleon. Peaceful and great staff. It is a great location. Entire complex was extremely clean. Our room was a bit dated. We will be staying there again.

This property was not at all what it was portrayed to be. The tiki bar and restaurant are not part of the hotel and you had to carry cash to use these places. Nothing could be charged to your room, and both were mediocre. The advertised “beach” is a 10-15 yd swimming hole that was bordered by vegetation on one side and the underskirts of the pier on the other. Creepy. The pool surface was brick and too hot to walk on without shoes, and the pool water was 90 degrees or more, in 95 degree weather. The parking lot is nothing short of a tight squeeze with not near enough parking for each room. The staff, especially the daytime security guard (who was rude and nasty) were extremely unfriendly, except for Elsie and Sean. The room was much smaller than the pictures and there was no outside furniture on the balcony which was dirty and unkept. Do not stay here if you expect a relaxing vacation.

It was right on the ocean front and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, clubs and activities. The Private Beach was nice and they had a great pool. Parking on site was free and great. We were in the efficiency which was cute but next time we will go for the larger room. Staff was friendly and 24 watch at the gate was nice but felt unneeded as this island closes up after 11 which was strange. Overall a very nice hotel.

Great location! We could walk to everything in the Duval and waterfront areas. Very nice onsite amenities as well: pool, outside bar. And a GREAT VIEW of sunset!

This place is LOCATION-LOCATION-LOCATION , very clean we love the Tiki Bar , the deck , the pool area , short walking distance to anywhere !! A very clean resort . We have 2 more stays booked already for this year and more to come.

Wonderful place! Convenient to everything. Pool, tiki bar, sunsets, restaurants, transportation choices, all just steps away.Will definitely stay at the Galleon again.

This is the ideal location to stay for a short walk to bars, restaurants and shopping. Staff at the resort were very friendly. I appreciate all the amenities the resort had. I did not end up using the beach access as the seaweed had quite a smell coming from it, but the deck overlooking the ocean and the pool area were great. The condo was clean with lots of storage and the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed being able to step out onto the balcony. I would choose different window coverings that would let in less light, but it was not a deal-breaker. You could hear noise from other condos pretty easily. Besides hearing the neighbors, the cleaning staff was there very early in the morning which was hard to sleep thru. However, I would stay here again.

Everything was great . We go to the keys a couple times a year this is the first time here at the Galleon and i am so glad we did !!! Will be back from now on!

Our stay was wonderful. The efficiency/lockoff was perfect for 2 adults for a long weekend. Would like to have had a small sofa or oversized chair as an option to sit . The location is great for shopping, sunsets and entertainment. Our host was outstanding, responded quicker than i could send the question.

We had a wonderful time. No complaints. Parking was a little limited. Overall everything was pretty good.

We had a great time staying at the Galleon resort! It had all the amenities that we wanted and more! We especially appreciated the beach area and wonderful places to watch the sunset. We would definitely book again!

Great location. The pool was clean and not very busy. The Tiki bar on the water was a chill spot.

Overall the place was just what we were looking for!

The stay at galleon resort was lovely.. Prime location with easy access to everything. This was our 4th trip to KW and this stay was a different location for us. The owner was extremely prompt with communication. The staff on sight and amenities were top notch. The unit was a bit dated but overall very clean. Maid service was awesome and thorough. The sunset views best the gathering at Mallory and we always had a seat even minutes before the sunset. We will visit again. Thank you M& M ( nutty and chocolate)

We were very pleased with location and amenities of this resort. Employees were friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable for two. We highly recommend and definitely will come back!!

The Galleon, for us, was a hidden gem amongst Key West. The staff very friendly and guests even more friendly. We felt at home here and the tiki bar and beach area offers solace to watch the boats cruise by and the gorgeous sunsets!

If you want to be near it all, see beautiful sunsets from the tiki bar, be a stones throw from Duval Street, restaurant, boats, bars, and shopping you cannot get a better place to stay. Park your car, kick back and enjoy! I would give it a five star but the property in general especially the rental units needs a face lift. I understand that is being done this summer.

Absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful. Friendly! We loved walking, Duval Street, Mallory, etc. Everything was lively and charming. Evening lively with plenty of places to eat, listen to music, etc.

Would definitely stay again. Great location - close to everything but quiet and off the main streets. Facility is great, clean, beautiful with everything needed.

The description of the room was not what we got.

Resort is peaceful and somewhat secluded, but it just a very short walk to Duval. Everything was well maintained and very clean. Would definitely recommend.

The place is exactly as expected from its listing. Very efficiently set up and in a perfect location. The resort is a wonderful place.

We didn't really interact with the property manager but we love this area of Key West and the pool and Tiki Bar at the Galleon are fantastic! Great for sunset viewing! Staff there was terrific as well. The room is a bit more worn than the photos show but having the small kitchenette is a great plus. Wall paint, the mattress and pillows, the ceiling fan and the drawers are all showing wear and tear. Wall AC unit is loud - we love white noise so that didn't bother us as much but could bother others. All in all - great price and great location.

2nd time we rented it. Has a nice pool and a private beach. Close to everything and you can walk everywhere 2 minutes from Duval street

The room was just as we expected. Bed was comfy, a/c worked well. The first night we only had one chair at the table but it showed up when we came back to the room the next day. The only issue we had was getting ice. There were no ice trays in the room and no ice makers to get ice from. The front desk gave us ice the first time we asked and then had ice cube trays brought to the room for us to use after that but during the time we were there it didn’t freeze all the way. Overall a very good stay and would stay again.

Great property overall. A little older but they are actively working on updates as they are currently doing construction and our closest elevator was out of service. The pool was very nice and clean, the workers were all pleasant and friendly. The tiki bar was fun and there was live music nightly!
