FRONT DE MER, beautiful apartment with all comforts

The views and location are incredible, can not be beaten for the price. Wonderful marina and restaurants very near by. Clean and tidy, easy check in with someone meeting us with keys all very good.

Nice apartment with minor drawbacks: the dishwasher is not cleaning properly, the hot water temperature in the bathroom is hard to adjust, the hose in the shower is torn, the knives in the kitchen are not sharp enough, the stove is very weak for frying (this was not that crucial for us as we did not cook much). We checked in without a problem even though we had arrived a couple of hours earlier. A serious drawback was a single set of keys for the four of us (we must had been five but one of us did not come), which was really inconvenient. We faced even greater problems after leaving the apartment. We were accused of taking the second set of keys with us and leaving the apartment in a very dirty state. Provided that the apartment was cleaned by us before leaving to a large extent, and a significant amount of money was paid for cleaning in advance (and a comparable amount for bedclothes). For this, the owner deducted more than a half from the deposit (which was much larger then typical for such an apartment). After a lengthy email exchange, the money for the set of keys allegedly taken away by us was returned to us. Nevertheless, some amount of money was deducted for the additional cleaning (according to the owner – 3 hours of cleaning in addition to the cleaning that we had paid in advance). The explanations as to what could cause such an extensive cleaning were ridiculous. E.g. dirty sheets, sand in the bathroom, and so on. The owner promised to send us confirming photos and receipts, but has not done that since almost 3 months. We travel and rent apartments a lot around the world, but we have never encountered such a situation. Our advice: be careful when booking this apartment, as the owner can suddenly accuse you of absurd things without discussing it and presenting any evidence.

Everything we needed to make our holiday enjoyable

Great experience. A stylish and well equipped apartment, with sensational views of the marina, sea and mountains beyond. Breathtaking sunsets with a glass of wine on the balcony. Parking is included in the secure marina car park. Although a car is not necessary. Just a short walk from the Riells beach, Restaurants, and shops. Or a longer stroll along the seafront promenade to the quaint old town. The beaches alongside the Greek and Roman Ruins of Empurias and St. Marti are absolutely beautiful, and not to be missed. A lovely setting for our holiday, a very comfortable and peaceful location. We would highly recommend it!
