Stayed Dec 24, 2022We were able to book both units in this duplex for a family holiday gathering. Certainly, we could not have found anything better located in Black Mountain. As the property description indicates, we were just five minutes from the center of this lovely small town and five minutes from Lake Tomahawk Park. All of us, including our dogs, enjoyed our stay in Take-a-Hike.

Stayed Oct 14, 2022My family and I had a great time at this place. It was clean, plenty of parking, nice porches to enjoy and man talk about location. This location is close to downtown Black Mountian. You can park you car and walk/ride a bike to everything!!!

Stayed Sep 13, 2022Do not look at Google maps for this place. It’s way outdated. This place is gorgeous inside and out and would definitely come here again. Not only is it the perfect spot, but it absolutely quiet at night. I wish I could have had time to use the fire pit behind the house. I loved the balcony and the beds were super comfortable. It was amazing.

Stayed Jul 13, 2022We really loved this place for our family of 4 (2 kids under 12). Locations was perfect - close to stores, restaurants, a Little Library on the corner, near Ashville, and one exit away from our kid's overnight camp. The beds were super comfy and they did a great job with the renovation.

Stayed Apr 29, 2022We rented both properties for a quick trip to see a show in Asheville. The properties are clean, comfortable, in a great location and very charming. We will be back!!
