Imperial Beach, California
***Due to the ongoing issues with Mexico's water treatment pumps, the ocean is not guaranteed to be open at this time.. They do test the bacteria levels daily, but the majority of the year the Ocean has been closed from the Border, past Imperial Beach up to Coronado Beach. If swimming in the ocean is a major amenity I would not stay in these areas, until further notice.***
Beach Club
The beach club is a three story private, gated complex. The Beach Club is a U-shaped building that is located on the sand, no busy street or boardwalk separating you from the beach. It has its own heated pool, Jacuzzi hot tub, and barbecue facilities in the spacious garden atrium.

The area
Relax in a quaint beach town, stroll on the quiet beach. Walk on the old fishing pier, and bring your rod and bait! Excellent surfing! Watch or participate! A 10 minute drive affords you easy access to the famous Island of Coronado and its golf course. 25 minutes takes you to the world famous San Diego Zoo, Seaworld, San Diego Embarcadero, San Diego Convention Center, fabulous desert or mountain drives, Mexico, and all that the sophisticated city of San Diego has to offer!
Loved sitting on the patio having coffee, great location for local restaurants. It's older building you can hear everything above you. Furniture has wear but comfortable.
The area is great. The property is old and definitely needs some remodel.
Customer service was fantastic. My only problem with this property is it was definitely not representative of the pictures on Expedia.
Great
Always get your moneys worth staying here. Great location and view. Trish did her absolute best to fix any problems that came up.
We were in SAN to visit family in south San Diego and the location was perfect. The apartment has several quirks and unrepaired items. Some of these repairs would be easy to do and others would require more of a commitment. The nonfunctioning items put a damper on our stay. We did have a significant plumbing problem that the management company took care of pronto and for that we were grateful. Imperial Beach seems like a fun neighborhood and reminds me of what Santa Cruz looked like 25 years ago. If you are traveling with a group of young men who like to hang out on the beach and visit the neighborhood watering holes this spot is for you !
Great view for a great price! I really appreciated the ability to park in a garage and the quietness of the spot.
Rooms need repairs. Smaller bedroom closet doors just laying there, in hung. Needs lots of painting. Blinds don’t work. Master TV old and does not work.
Great property, everything we needed
Everything was wonderful- location, parking, proximity to pool and hot tub.
This is right on the beach and there are lots of things you can walk to. We loved our stay and will likely return!
Excellent property...very nice
Great time will definitely rent again!
We stayed six nights. The property was clean and more than adequate for your needs. The kitchen was well stocked, although we didn’t use it. We used the pool once. It was great. I had one question, which was answered promptly.
There was some really good points about this condo! The condo itself was super clean and well maintained! The management company sent a ton of communication and check in and check out was a breeze. The facility manager on-site was the kindest guy. He takes a lot of pride in maintaining the plants and the flower beds show it! The cons- this place really doesn’t accommodate 7 people. I have never stayed at a rental that counts the couches or an air mattress as part of the occupancy. It wasn’t a big deal for our kids to sleep on the couches, but if you have all adults, be aware. The main building needs some updating. I’m the pool area, there’s a larger fountain that looks like it has been broken for some time, caution tape on the pool stairs, and what once was beach access is boarded off. I picked this place because it was beach front, but the reviews that say you can’t swim in the water because of contamination are true. Right on the beach are signs stating you could get sick if you go in the water. The last thing you should know about this place is there’s a couple of homeless men that live right outside the condos patio. Although there were some great people who try their hardest to make this a nice place to stay, there’s too many other things getting in the way of making this a place I would come back to!
It was a lovely trip. Everything was very nice but the condo itself could use some updating.
We had a really nice time here. It is very close to the beach which was great for us. We scoped out the whole San Diego area and were very pleased with this area. It is a little less crowded than the other areas and a really laid back chill vibe in this neighborhood. The unit did not have any rugs/window treatments and seemed a little bare, but honestly I thought it was great because it was VERY clean! Always my preference to have cleanliness over top of design/coziness. The beds were surprisingly comfortable too! Great trip! Thanks for the great stay!
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay! Everything was as advertised. The beach was peaceful and the condo provided everything we needed.
