To your right will be the living room space. Our firm, but comfy couch is strategically positioned right in front of the French doors, which open onto the 8 x12 foot deck. Let’s hear it for crisp fresh air, views of the woods (and maybe a deer or two) with your morning coffee!
Got barbecue chicken or grilled lobster on your mind We’ve got you covered with an electric grill, right on the deck.
The stairs beside the French doors will lead you to the main sleeping loft.
The ladder tucked beside the couch rolls to the center and outward to allow access to the secondary loft. Ever slept in a tree, soothed by the sound of leaves rustling in the wind Sleeping in one of our lofts will give you just that feeling. Our Green Tea memory foam mattress awaits you - promising a super refreshing night of sleep! Please be sure to use the pipe guard rails and exercise caution when entering/exiting both sleeping spaces.
At the other end of the tiny home, you’ll find the bathroom, stocked with ample, plush linens and necessary toiletries. Take your pick of a warm shower or long, relaxing bath with your book and a beverage atop the provided bamboo bath tray. You’ll have no worries about laundry with full use of the washer and dryer tucked in the bathroom (detergent and fabric softener are provided).
We stayed here for 2 nights in October to be near Acadia and see Fall colors. Very clean and well appointed home. All necessary cups/plates/coffee was present but we did not cook. Both beds were in the loft and were adequate but not easy to reach and not very limited overhead space. We are smaller people (5ft-5'9) and would not recommend for very tall adults/teens. The backyard is nice with a deck/fire pit and we were able to see the stars at night (if it is not cloudy). The drive was 40+ minutes to Acadia (which was expected) but can be much longer on busy weekends because there is only road into/out of Acadia/Bar Harbor. Please note there is very limited storage space and really no space for medium/large luggage. We did have a good experience and would book again for short stays. The owner was nice and easy to communicate with.
The house is absolutely adorable. Everything is well thought out and we found it quite comfortable for 3 adults. It had everything we needed and the towels sheets etc. we're high quality. The fire pit out back was amazing and we saw so many stars. It is a bout 5 miles north of Ellsworth and an hour from Acadia. Easy drive and great location. Management was very responsive and helpful. I loved this tiny house and would absolutely come back. The only thing I would say for those considering is that it is off of a somewhat busy road- so there is a little traffic noise. It didn't bother us at all - but it might for someone seeking quiet solitude.
Our first time in a tiny house and we would highly recommend the experience! Super clean with all the amenities we needed. Convenient to Acadia and Bar Harbor.
