Stayed Nov 20, 2025The place was whimsical but lacking amenities. No shower heater only warmed the place by about one degree every three.hours or so. Bathroom door didnt stay closed.

Stayed Sep 27, 2025No WiFi and with the sod roof no cell service in unit too. Conversation with manager regarding issue totally ignored issue! TV needed “your streaming service” but unusable without WiFi.

Stayed Sep 19, 2025The check-in instructions didn’t give instructions on how to turn on the hot water. Had to call the management, which provided the instructions. The WFi didn’t work plus we didn’t have cell service. Had to go to town to be able to contact the management team. Also the check out instructions are in a digital document. Again no way to access them.

Stayed Aug 9, 2025The pictures do not lie, this is a hobbit home. Easy access to town but in quiet serene location. The property is fun to explore and fantastic if you are traveling with a pet. Clean and well stocked with amenities. We didn’t cook but there’s a small set up if you choose to. The local wine when we arrived was a thoughtful touch. We slept like a log, bed was comfortable. Bathtub was great after a day of hiking.

Stayed Aug 15, 2025Fun place to stay for sure! It's nice to have a little novelty once in a while for where you rest your head on a trip. Just some things to know though so you are prepared. In the bathroom, the sink is like a tiny airplane sized sink and there is no shower just a bathtub. If you are like close to 6' tall or more, ceiling head clearance might be an issue with some of the beams. The metal frame bed is about as comfortable as it looks and the top bunk has very minimal space. Only like 3-5 year olds would fit. The kitchen is well appointed with microwave and fridge though water pressure at the faucet is not great. Just things to keep in mind when you're thinking about if this place is right for you.

Stayed Jul 16, 2025My family of 4 was so looking forward to staying in this Hobbit Hole and living out our LOTR fantasies. Sadly though, not even Bilbo would have stayed here. When arriving, the exterior of the hobbit hole was so beautiful and inviting, yet when we entered, that's when the heat of the Balrog hit us. We understand that it was a very hot day, but there was nothing to cool it down in there, not even a fan. We decided to open the one tiny window that could open to let air in and hoped that by evening it would have cooled off. Boy were we wrong. When we returned late that evening after dinner, it felt even hotter. The air outside felt twenty degrees cooler than in the home. While contemplating just leaving the front door open, we saw many spiders make their way in and thought better of it, for fear that Shelob might lay close behind. We were going to try to tough it out until my daughter tried to get in the top bunk of the bed. She could hardly fit, and she is hobbit sized! She had to shimmy in through the tiny space above the ladder, and then lay there with ceiling merely inches from her head. As I am a bit bigger than her and I was supposed to sleep up on the top bunk as well, I didn't even try for fear of getting trapped. After spending a sum total of about an hour in the home, we promptly grabbed our belongings and checked into a hotel. This home seems best suited for 2 people an a cold day!
