Stayed Jan 1, 1We really loved this house and its location. Whilst quite remote the setting and scenery were beautiful with loads of wonderful walks and great fishing. We loved the bathrooms which were all new and clean with bountiful hot water. Couldn’t have been more perfect for a week away. We will definitely return.

Stayed Jan 1, 1A wonderful place to stay for a gathering of family and friends. We had a caterer providing meals for us so the kitchen was a very busy place. It would be useful to provide a drinks fridge outside of this space, perhaps tucked away in the back kitchen/utility or drying room.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Where to begin? Steph with the Estate Office was lovely to work with an ensured we were set up for a lovely stay, complete with crib and highchair for our toddler. We had a family gathering and enjoyed fishing, hiking, picnic and lovely meals. We all had the most wonderful stay and look forward to returning. The Lodge was very comfortable and very well equipped.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Forest Lodge is down an 8 mile single track road so in winter conditions it’s best to get a 4x4. The Lodge itself has great facilities lovely bedrooms newly refurbished bathrooms. The drying room is a godsend for people who get up on the hill. It would be nice to have some stalking sticks for guests to borrow as lots of our visitors flew into Edinburgh so we’re unable to bring their own. This makes a big difference when ascending and descending.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed with a group of ladies at Forest Lodge and really loved the place. Super nicely renovated bathrooms, great decorated bathrooms and a super kitchen where you can cook altogether! We loved to be surrounded by nature, and sitting in the evenings at the open fire! Viva Scotland!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Love this place. Have been coming to it over 30 years and although we loved it in its rougher state it is just stunning now. The bedrooms and bathrooms are so comfortable. The views are superb and the wildlife breathtaking at times. Brilliant walking, hiking, fishing etc. an outdoor persons paradise. The relaxing accommodation is perfect for big groups, plenty of space to mill around. The refurbished kitchen with all the fridges and freezers means you hardly have to leave the place. If you do leave there is lots to see and do in the area. Hopefully we will be back.
