This luxurious Grade II listed apartment run personally by York Stay Holidays, welcomes visitors from around the world. It as been renovated to the highest standards. It is bright and airy with high ceilings and set in a quiet location in an elegant Victorian building. with the best views of York Minster in the block. It is a ground floor apartment with a large lounge/dining room, separate fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom, bedroom with a UK king-sized bed. Wooden flooring throughout.
The apartment is located just a 2-minute walk from Goodramgate and Monkbar (which is one of the main entrances into the City) and about 5-minutes from York Minster and the famous Shambles. The nearest Airport in Leeds Bradford and it’s a 5-minute taxi ride or 20-minute walk from York Station.

KITCHEN
The kitchen, with its powder blue accessories, is equipped with everything you need to make you feel at home. There is a built in washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, plus there is a Nespresso coffee machine and pods. There is an induction hob (which may affect pacemakers so do check) and an oven.
LOUNGE/DINER
In the lounge there is a comfortable sofa and separate chair with foot stall, there is a glass table and dining chairs and a fire-place. The smart tv has catch up TV available and there is a blue tooth speaker which allows you to play music from your phone.
BEDROOM
The bedroom has a luxurious king-sized bed with crisp Egyptian cotton bedding and soft white towels are provided. There are USB charger sockets in the bedroom to charge phones and tablets without needing a plug. There is also a hair dryer and water bottles provided.
BATHROOM
The bathroom (not en-suite) has a good-sized bath with a shower overhead with a heated towel rail and toiletries provided.

This is a well situated apartment that is clean, quiet and absolutely lovely. We couldn't have asked for a better location (just 5 minutes to York Minster by foot) and more welcoming hosts. I would stay here again.
We loved our stay in York. Melanie and David were wonderful hosts. They were very responsive. The lovely home was proximal to walkable York.
The apartment was close to everything and yet was extremely quiet. a short walk to Monkgate and Goodramgate and so on with all the coffee shops, restaurants and pubs you could ask for. Check in was easy. The apartment is in a lovely part of York city. The bed was very comfortable with nice white linen. Although we ate out the kitchen had everything you need to cook. Having Netflix was great. The quality of the apartment was excellent. If we had one gripe it was that the apartment got extremely warm during the day. We closed the curtains and blinds in the morning before we left but it was still very hot when we got back around 4pm or so. There was a small fan in the kitchen which if you planned on cooking you would certainly need. It was late August so still summer. I think a floor standing fan would be a great addition. In the evening you could see The Minster from the lounge. We would definitely go back.
Such a great location to base yourself in for this lovely city. High quality accommodation in a surprisingly quiet location. Lovely sitting by the lounge window listening to the Minster’s bells of an evening. High ceilings add the the spacious feeling and a well equipped kitchen makes eating in an easy choice. Owners are super-nice. Highly recommended.

Well-equipped and comfortable apartment (and very professionally cleaned), ideally situated for our purposes. Despite being so convenient for the city centre and for supermarkets, the situation is quiet and peaceful. We've stayed in quite a lot of self-catering accommodation in York and this is one of the best we've found.
This location is fantastic for visiting York. It is so close to the city centre and also has the space of a beautiful garden to enjoy. It was amazingly well appointed with everything you could possibly need. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend it. Thanks!
Overall, we were very pleased and comfortable at this property. The location was great - an easy walk to walled York, a Sainsbury's around the corner, and parking. The flat was well appointed and nicely decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. I would offer a word of caution: If, like us, you travel with a limited wardrobe and plan to wash and dry clothes, be aware that the dryer function on the washing machine is taped off and cannot be used. Although we tried to wash our clothes well in advance of when we would need them, it was very difficult to get clean, dry clothes in a reasonable time.
This flat is perfectly located for touring York. 15 minutes on foot is the longest it takes to get just about anywhere in town. The flat was spotless, fully equipped and exactly as described. Communication with the owners was clear and precise. A complete information folder describes everything about the flat and gives many suggestions about food and things to do. Being able to park the car and tour on foot was great. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful 4 days in this perfectly positioned apartment. The property itself was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for our stay; plenty of cutlery, crockery, clean towels, spare pillows, cooling fans - they've thought of everything. The location couldn't be better - 5 minutes to centre of York with all attractions, shops and restaurants, and walkable within a minute to the large Sainsbury behind the building for a few supplies, perfect! The parking space was a great addition - it was slightly narrow, but parking space is at a premium in the city so this is expected. Not a problem if everyone parks considerately!
