New construction, appliances and furniture!! Light, airy and large 1 bed, 1 bath apartment with office, queen bed and outdoor patio located 2 blocks from the blue, orange, and silver lines on Capitol Hill in Wash, DC--almost 700 square feet of living space!

Amenities include a washer/dryer, gas stove, refrigerator, wireless internet, TV, sheets, towels, hair dryer, AC/Heat with individual remote controls for maximum comfort. The apartment features a queen sized bed and a love seat forrelaxing. The office sits off the bedroom. The kitchen includes an eat-in bar, ample counter space for preparing and cooking food, utensils, pots, pans, dishes, glass wear, toaster, and coffee maker. The loveseat in the living room pulls out into a twin mattress for a third guest.

    Overall, we enjoyed our stay here! Pros: Very short walk to the metro, easy to find parking in the neighborhood, lots of good restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance, cute tree-lined street, the apartment itself was spotless when we arrived, the kitchen has everything you need to cook a quick meal with, and we felt safe the entire time! The owners were also very responsive and nice. Cons: We were expecting some noise/footsteps from the upstairs neighbors since this is a basement unit, but every night from 8 p.m. to midnight there would be very loud footsteps that sounded like they were in heeled shoes. They were super loud and hard to ignore. Also, we only had hot water to take a shower once during our four-night stay. There consistently wasn't hot water in the morning or at night. Overall, other than the footsteps and lack of hot water, we were happy with this place! We were really only there to shower and sleep, though, so it was a little frustrating to not be able to consistently do either of those things.

    The property is clean and well renovated. The metro was close and the Harris Teeter was easy to locate and carry the groceries back. Jest remember you have to take or buy your own bags. The neighborhood is in the beginnings of getting updated and cleaned up. It looks to be a few blocks from a rough side of town, but we had no troubles. We would stay again. Thank you for opening the apartment to us!

    We really enjoyed our time here. House was great, everything that we needed. Having transport within an easy walk was so convenient. Supermarket around the corner was a bonus.

    Two blocks from the Metro meant super-easy transportation. The street was quiet and tree-lined. We laughed endlessly about the toddler upstairs who was clearly training for the Olympic marathon. Those little feet racing about were truly entertaining. The only negative was the bed. The mattress was so overly soft that someone like myself with a tendency toward back problems can’t sleep on it. I resorted to the single bed in the office area.

    My wife and I spent a week at this residence and were very happy with everything. Clean, full size kitchen with plenty of room. Roger and Amanda were very accommodating . We did not rent a car so it was nice to be close to the metro. I would highly recommend this property.

    Really enjoyed my stay at Roger and Amanda’s. I was solo while my son was at a leadership camp so I had more than enough room but 3-4 people would be easy. Their place was very comfortable and convenient to the places I needed. I walked, biked and used Uber most of my stay. It was along walk but I walked to and from the Capital building a couple of times. Closest place for nice food is 8th street..about a 15-20 minute walk or cheap Uber but McDonalds is right around the corner. Overall...I would stay hear again!!!

    Great property! Only issue, which was minor, was parking. I’m sure this is a challenge anywhere in DC so otherwise property was just as described on line if not better. Close to a market easy to get to other sites from property either by driving or walking to metro. Great stay!
