Stayed Mar 15, 2016The apartment was very clean, very well furnished, and perfectly situated in Venice to walk to almost everything. Loved the little outdoor sitting area. Craig was very helpful and responsive.

Stayed Feb 5, 2016The apartment was clean, location so convenient, and the mattress was better than we have at home. Craig is an amazing host. He was there to help out if needed You couldn't ask for more. And yet there was more, when I got sick he offered to buy soup for my husband and me. At first I hesitated and then said yes. Craig gifted us chicken soup from The Firehouse. Hit the stop We will come again. Thanks Craig Linda and Stu

Stayed Dec 30, 2015We had a very enjoyable week long stay at this cozy, private, nicely furnished downstairs unit in an older but well-maintained 4-plex with garden. Small, but perfect for two people. The building is located on a quiet residential street in a hip, urban, up-and-coming area of Venice. We loved the location - walkable to beach/boardwalk, grocery and drug stores, and restaurants and small retail places in Venice. And just a short drive into downtown Santa Monica. The owner, Craig, was very personable and extremely responsive - he not only greeted us at the unit to provide keys and explain what's what, but also offered great suggestions of local places to try and things to do. He also dropped off a few missing kitchen staples when requested, which we greatly appreciated, as we chose to prepare some meals in vs. eating out every day. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would not hesitate to recommend Craig's unit.

Stayed Dec 22, 2015Craig met us upon our arrival making our transition to our new home for a week absolutely seamless. Apartment was well appointed and maintained-perfect for the two of us. The property has a private parking spot off the street which is a real plus for the area. We love the Venice/Santa Monica area and for us the location of this property was ideal. Quick walk to the beach and rented bicycles gave us access to the rest of the surrounding area. Don't miss enjoying the bike path which you can take as far north as Malibu and south of Marina Del Rey in the other direction. Restaurants in the area were wonderful, many within waking distance. We particularly enjoyed Poke-Poke for fresh Ahi Tuna on the beach and Gjelina is a fabulous deli/café one block from the apartment. Prospective renters should be aware of a sizable homeless community that is allowed to reside in front of public property one block from the apartment. This wasn't a problem for us as we know this is just part of the Venice scene. However, I point this out for prospective renters who may not be aware of the area. Wonderful stay and property. Would return in a heartbeat!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The apartment is fantastic (just as pictured) and the location is perfect - very close to Abbot Kinney (great restaurants and shopping). Craig was very friendly, responsive, and took great care of us, quickly responding to any questions we had during our stay and making sure we had everything we could possibly need. We would definitely want to stay here again the next time we travel to LA and highly recommend it for anyone interested. Great stay, great location - couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks Craig!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I doubt you could find a lovelier, more convenient rental in Venice Beach, nor a more hospitable host. I stayed for 10 days at Craig's apartment and was sad to leave. It's every bit as charming as the pictures indicate. The location is terrific: 3 blocks to the beach, just off Main Street.. the good shopping' part.. with many great choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner, wine, coffee--within walking distance. Abbott Kinney is close enough to walk to, as is Whole Foods. The apartment, with its adorable, quiet patio, really is a quiet oasis in what can be a rather quirky area. Oh, and off street parking made coming and going very easy. Highest recommendation!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This stay was the third time in a year that we have been to the Venice Beach / Santa Monica area and our accommodations just get better and better. First, this rental has a parking spot! And it is off the street! There are great linens in the bed and bath. There is a full size shower and tub and a counter in the bathroom where you can actually unpack and store your toiletries. The place is very clean and the kitchen is nicely furnished. We cooked in one night and found everything we needed. The location is very convenient to GREAT restaurants (Superba and a great Mexican restaurant are in walking distance), the beach and shopping.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Craig's apartment was exactly like the pictures. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean. Craig and Barbara were helpful hosts (finding us a high chair at short notice) and giving restaurant suggestions for the neighbourhood. Although the apartment isn't particularly designed for kids, it was spacious and accommodated our family of four (two young children) comfortably. We walked on Main Street toward Santa Monica and down to nearby Venice Beach. There is a Whole Foods and a nice playground a short stroll away too. The walk to Abbott Kinney took about 25-30 minutes. It was great to have on site parking. The only drawback was the pull out couch mattress wasn't the most comfortable but overall we definitely recommend the spot!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I'm a single women whose job requires I'm in the area frequently. Until I found this charming place I always stayed in hotels. It felt like home away from home the moment I saw it. No more hotels for me. I found it to be all they listed plus more. Another big plus for me was it comes with parking. If you have ever been to the beach area than you know what I'm talking about. Parking and tickets very expensive. This truely is a stress free accommadation I recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy there time away from home..

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Visiting from Mexico, needed a place to stay, close to the action, but a place to relax where I could enjoy some privacy. I was pleasantly surprised, the apartment was immaculate, furnished in very good taste, comfortable with a welcoming patio, just the place for a glass of wine or a nice cup of tea. It is in an area where a short walk offers interesting and good places to eat. I highly recommend this place, will certainly return.
