Stayed Apr 12, 2025The good first: complex is lovely, with pools and walking paths, and local property mgrs were very accommodating and helpful. But:There were NO kitchen towels or sponges; I purchased some;A lovely BBQ with no utensils or cleaning devices; All batteries removed from TV remotes, and no instructions on use. We were never able to use one of the TVs;A clogged toilet that took 2 days to fix;A broken bathroom sink - fixed in 2 days;A leaking dishwasher; When I called to report/get help there seemed to be a lack of communication between the call center and local staff. I sincerely hope the owner realizes it’s time to pause the rentals and make some absolutely necessary repairs and updates!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My family and I had a great time. The location was perfect; very close to shopping, recreation, and had beautiful views of the Coachella Valley. The condo was clean and comfortable. Everything worked (wi-if, cable, a/c, etc.) Gated community was peaceful, friendly people and felt safe. Would definitely recommend this place for small families.

Stayed Mar 21, 2024Overall trip was good, but disappointed that I was confirmed by phone that 2 bikes would be available and had planned for that. A single bike was available and with a flat tire. Unit was fairly pictured, but 3 light bulbs had to be replaced, and bath tubs had no plugs. Also unable to connect to cable as directions did not match up with devices. Roku was fine. Other some small details were resolved.

Stayed Mar 9, 2024Condo is located in gated community and in close proximity to resort pool and tennis courts. We enjoyed being on ground level, close parking was always available. The sliding door issue mentioned by other reviews, now slides very easily, however the sliders are still secured by wood lengths in the runner, no other lock is present on glass or screen sliding doors. We met several other condo owners while at the pool that explained the unfortunate situation regarding the golf course their resort was built around. Many volunteers are now working to create and maintain the “Prescott Preserve” that now exists in its place. There are miles of walking/biking paths throughout that we enjoyed daily. Location to downtown Palm Springs and the airport are great. We would stay here again

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really liked the location of this unit in the 2nd Phase of Mesquite: it has a great mountain view, the pool is well maintained and just steps away, and the grounds are also well maintained. It was quiet and just minutes from the airport. The unit was clean when we arrived and was well stocked with linens and kitchen equipment. For the most part we found it described accurately in the listing, although the unit has 2 queen beds not 1 king and 1 queen. However calling it Mesquite Chic is a bit of a stretch. While the beds were comfortable and furniture in good shape, things are dated and in need of maintenance. The patio doors in particular desperately need attention as they are very hard to roll (we alerted the property manager to this). But the kitchen cabinet doors/hinges are showing their age, the patio furniture cushions have been destoyed by the sun, and the BBQ wheels are broken (although it otherwise works well). Unlike other rentals where the owner has a locked cabinet for their belongings, in this unit various items are scattered throughout and we found that unusual. This is an OK place to stay, but a little TLC would go a long way. We rated this a 3 out 5 five because it met our expectations for location and grounds but fell back due to maintenance issues. With a few things fixed it would easily be a 4.

Stayed Apr 6, 2021We enjoyed our stay very much. We liked the easy access to bike paths. It was quiet even though we stayed at a lower unit. We will do this again but would want an upper unit. The only downside was that there was no sun shelter at the pool, no umbrella, etc.

Stayed Mar 28, 2021We love Palm Springs so it isn’t easy to be negative coming off a good family vacation, but this place misses the mark and is not accurately represented in Vacasa’s advertising. As for the positives, the location is great and pools in the complex are very nice, and the check in process was fine. However, the unit is very, very dated and full of wear and tear, which is not evident in the photos on Vacasa The outdated AC unit (looks to be well over 25 years old) made an audible whistling sound inside the condo that was disruptive. The furniture and beds are dated and not very comfortable due to age. Personal items from the owners, or prior renters, could be found under sinks, in drawers, in closets, and some of it (old take-out containers!) is seemingly unsanitary, and not what you would expect in a rental home. The sliding glass door had NO LOCK or latch, and relied solely on piece of wood on the floor for security. Perhaps most concerning, the unit wasn’t very clean - we found grime in the kitchen sink, black spots in the tub, powdery substance (hope it wasn’t from the exterminator) on the countertops , etc. I’m sure the owners are nice people and mean well (we reached out via the contact feature on Vacasa and heard nothing), but this place needs a BIG upgrade if they are going to hold it out as PS “Mesquite Chic” while charging a prime rate. . While we will come back to PS, we will not staying here again.
