Drake House: The Loft (Private Hot Tub)

We would 100% stay here again. My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend in Dubuque, and this was the perfect place to stay. We loved the Millwork District area. Being above a coffee shop was fun and convenient to grab coffee or a bite to eat. The location was ideal for walking to nearby microbreweries. It was also only a 15-20 min walk to the Riverwalk, which we enjoyed. The Loft itself was clean and comfortable. It was a great place to relax for the weekend. Communication with the host was easy. I'd highly recommend!

This felt like a home away from home, very historic section of Dubuque with great city vibes. Just what we were looking for! The tech was awesome, internet was great even during the storm. Updated bathrooms and kitchen were a big bonus. Most comfy and intuitive VRBO we have stayed at in 5 years.

I was getting married the next day and the place was nice. There were more people than we expected so a little cramped an error on our end but overall nice place. My only biggest complaint is there is not a full size mirror so unfortunately I did not get to see what I looked like in a mirror before my wedding.

This was my first experience staying at a Vrbo! The place was extremely nice and comfortable. The coffee shop had great drinks and food. We would definitely recommend this place to our family and friends!

A beautiful, quiet property. So beautifully renovated with all the touches of care and quality. We did not want to leave. Charlotte’s Cafe was our go to both mornings. It was delicious and such a cozy, friendly vibe. Our only problem was being too eager to get into the Drake House. We went to the first door, thinking there was only 1 Drake House entrance. I didn’t think to match the door number with the address we were give. Once we had the correct entrance, everything was perfect! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Fantastic. Wish more time to spend in the hot tub. The only draw back was the shared hallway with Charlotte 's customers

Amazing place in an excellent location! We loved staying here and went to the coffeehouse downstairs every morning for breakfast. Perfect spot for walking around downtown but still having privacy and quiet.

It was really nice Millwork district with all the history of the buildings and Dubuque has some beautiful old architecture that we drove around to see and admire! Be sure to just go out and explore around all around. Marco's Supper Club was great, as was the Field of Dreams in Dyersville. The only two little things I have to mention for improvement is if the mattress was a memory foam bed it would have been better, and the window in the bedroom with no blind or curtain needs something for early sleepers and wanting to sleep in-the sun was blinding-lol.Other than those little things it was perfect!

My husband and I enjoyed getting away for a couple days to relax and celebrate his 50th. This was the best location minus the difficult parking.

This apartment was beautiful, in a perfect location, right above a very cool cafe and walking distance to everything. There was a minor mix-up with the housekeeping upon our arrival, which was taken care of quickly by management, who went above and beyond to make right. We would definitely recommend this apartment and look forward to our next stay!Oh and the huge hot tub was a great way to wind down the day.

It was very clean and up to date. I appreciated the gift cards to the coffee shop. The only reason I marked a 4 was bc it was loud during coffee shop hours since the main level was on the coffee shop 2nd floor. This also left little privacy for the hot tub.

The Loft provided everything we needed for our stay and more! Loved the atmosphere, the cozy fireplace, and the hot tub to end our day. So many cool restaurants and shops within walking distance, and Charlotte’s Coffee Shop right downstairs was a definite bonus! Communication with Jenn was easy and all necessary information was relayed timely. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Downtown Dubuque area!

Super clean, well maintained property close to bars and restaurants. Hot tub was an added bonus.

This is the perfect getaway for relaxing! Charlotte's Coffee shop is directly below. The amenities did not disappoint. The hot tub located on the outer deck was perfect for privacy. The host was quick to respond for any questions. Very clean and inviting. The washer and dryer onsite was helpful to have. Charlottes Coffee House does have a dining area down the hall from this unit. We could hear some of the patrons while watching a movie in the living room. We weren't bothered by it, just a note for anyone inquiring. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again in the future. The host thought of everything; Kerig K-Cups and machine (and creamer), extra blankets if needed, Shampoo and Conditioner as well as body wash. Robes were also provided for the Hot Tub.

I stayed at The Loft for a long me-weekend and it was perfect. Exactly as described and great location to restaurants, shopping, and Dubuque history. The private deck and hot tub were a great escape at the end of the day. I’ll be back!

We loved our stay here! Stayed 2 nights for an anniversary weekend. The space is clean and so cozy and the deck with hot tub was so relaxing. We walked to bars and restaurants nearby. We ordered from Charlottes coffee shop online and just walked right down the steps to pick up our orders. We will definitely be back!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Drake house. Great location to walk downtown and a quick drive to the river walk. Host left great suggestions and the coffee shop downstairs is an added bonus. Will definitely stay again if in the area 😁
