I prefer to stay in a quiet residential area than in Bar Harbor. This is quiet, peaceful and has wildlife roaming around the woods that just add to the wonderful nature experience.

This apartment is on a second floor and opens onto a deck looking out over gardens and the forest. It is clean and spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. The location is convenient to Acadia National Park entrance and Bar Harbor. There is a fire pit for having a campfire and making s'mores. A hammock provides a great place to relax. Rob and Gayle are gracious hosts but not hovering so that you have all the privacy you want. It's a perfect home away from home.

Super easy communicating with Rob and Gayle! Rob greeted us when we arrived and made sure we knew where everything in the apartment was. It was very easy to get to downtown Bar Harbor and ANP. It was a nice, quiet retreat nestled in the woods. We appreciated being a little removed from town.

Rob and Gayle were great hosts. They were very communicative and aimed to please. The apartment was very comfortable, just as pictured. It was well stocked with all we needed to prepare meals. It was centrally located and perfect for exploring all parts of Acadia. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is well maintained and thoughtfully stocked with dish soap etc., even dog bowls. The washer/dryer on site is super convenient. The full kitchen has everything you need. The property is a short drive from Bar Harbor and Acadia; the woods are quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay. The host's phone numbers don't seem to work, which made check-in a hassle, so your best best is to communicate via messaging in the app. The hosts were very kind and responsive.

Everything was so wonderful!I’m there was a personalized welcome, not 15. Find a key and let yourself in good luck. Our dog was very grateful for a cool drink of water. The moment she was in the house. Wi-Fi is a struggle throughout Maine. We included did have some struggles. It was not ignored at all by our host and hostess!

It has everything we needed for a week off in Acadia: quite place with a wonderful landscape, one queen bed, a sofa converted into a comfortable bed for two, refrigerator, washing/drying, dishwasher, TV, wi-fi, a balcony with a grill, etc. We spent most of the time hiking: Jordan Pond, the Bubbles, the Ocean Path including Sand Beach and the Gorham Mountain, the Cadillac Mountain and the Dorr Mountain. Everything is very close to the property. We spent two evenings at Bar Harbor, a beautiful town 15 minutes from there. Don't miss crossing to the island during a low tide! The owners live in their house close to the property. They are ready to help and give great advices. Thanks!!!

Clean and quiet older apartment with all amenities. Easy access about 3 miles away to visitors center to catch bus into town. Hosts do their best to make your stay enjoyable and stress free. This is a garage apartment so be aware there are stairs but a very good place to stay while enjoying the beautiful area of Bar Harbor and Acadia.

If you are going to Bar Harbor I highly recommend staying here. The location was relaxing and quiet, town is about 10 minutes away. The book of information on the table was fantastic. Everything that we needed was available to make our hiking trip enjoyable. The owners Gayle & Rob are fantastic and very knowledgeable. I am so glad that we skipped the hotel stay and enjoyed their place.

A wonderful stay at Dragonfly Woods! Gayle and Rob were nothing short of fantastic hosts. I had everything I could possibly need for my vacation. Very conveniently located just 10 minutes from downtown BarHarbor ,but a nice and quiet location. The rental was very clean and efficient. Gayle and Rob were there to answer any questions I had and Gayle went above and beyond with info for some rainy day activities as the weather for a few days wasn't going to be great. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia but stay away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor Village. I would definitely stay here again.
