We checked in late at night. When we woke up we were amazed at the beautful views of the harbor and the fishing boats.
Cute little place to stay with a nice view and located close to everything. Apartment was clean and decorated well. Perfect little cozy place to stay while visiting. It is stacked with books, comfy blankets and beds, a nice kitchen, and more. Only downside to staying here was the noise. The walls and windows are paper thin and you can hear every conversation in the hallway or even outside on the street. Unfortunately we had neighboring guests that threw a party until 3:40 am and kept us up the entire time. There is no “front desk” to call as this is an apartment and not a hotel. Plan on bringing earplugs or not getting any sleep if you have noisy neighbors. There was also a faint musky odor and we noticed the living room window leaked a small pool of water onto the floor when it rained. But it is Sitka and there is a lot of rain so you kind of need to expect this a bit! There is also no immediate parking so you have to tow your luggage a block or two.
Clean and good location
My 14yr old and I had a fantastic stay in Sitka. This property is a GREAT location overlooking the water and crescent harbor (where most charter fishing boats meet their guests). It is walkable to most of the great restaurants and downtown shopping as well as the Sitka National Historic Park. Apartment has all the basics you need. Great hosts, easy process in/out, ample street parking close by if you have a car. Not a ton of privacy between the two bedrooms so something to keep in mind. Laundry is not en suite but easy to access down the hall, would recommend bringing quarters as the Wells Fargo was only giving change to customers. Would stay here again.
Very good
This property has gorgeous views of Crescent Harbor through large picture windows! It is centrally located with easy access to many businesses in Sitka!! Highly recommend! Filled with all essentials and availability of washer and dryer!! Thanks!!!
Our stay in sitka was amazing the views were incredible. Everything was conveniently located. Fishing was fantastic. I loved Katy's place would stay again.
Good central location for all activities and amazing view of Sitka Sound. It was one of those rare warm and sunny weeks in Sitka. It got quite warm, but only 2 of the windows could be safely opened. Others were screwed shut or not fully serviceable. My daughter said hot water would run out each day about 5 minutes into her morning shower, but my afternoon shower didn’t have that issue. It’s right above the main road to the airport, so more bustling than tranquil. Overall very comfortable place, and a really good spot to spend a few days.
First time to Sitka and anxious to plan a return. We came to fish and place served us well. Conveniently located to the main part of town, very cozy and clean, and great view of the water! We didn't cook - tea kettle in the morning and dined locally - kitchen table warmly decorated with place settings and place well stocked with the necessities. Katy is a great communicator. Thank you for the stay!
This property is located right in the middle of Sitka's downtown historic district close to shops, restaurants, parks, and the city harbor. The Sitka water's edge was only 50 yards from our living room window from which we watched boats, wildlife, and a lighthouse in the distance. In fact, we were awakened one morning to the sight and sounds of six bald eagles fighting over a fish less than 20 yards from our living room window! We had a fantastic stay. Thanks to the owners for sharing their wonderful accommodations with us.
Had a good stay here, some traffic noise but wonderful views
Nearby airport and right downtown. AMAZING views!! Very clean. Very walkable location. We'd return anytime. Don't hesitate to book.
This apartment is a winner: the location in downtown Sitka was walkable to shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and the meeting location for our Uncruise voyage.. Large windows In living area provide great views and plenty of light. Furniture, including beds, all comfortable. Katy (property manager) is excellent. She is a delightful person, sensitive to traveller’s needs and goes out of her way to make sure guests are happy. Kitchen is well stocked, including lots of coffee. Highly recommend. in walkable to walkable to very clean comfortable, location tha in downtown Sitka is terrific.
We booked this property because we didn’t think we’d have a car and it is within walking distance to harbor and shopping. I got nervous about our flyin time of midnight getting from airport so we ended up renting car. We were the only ones off the plane who did this. Everyone else got on a bus which we didn’t know anything about. Apartment was easy to find and very clean. Didn’t mind the parking offsite, loved the views, and close to the food truck too! However, we weren’t expecting the noise from the street. Trucks beginning their acceleration up the bridge to airport seemed to happen at all hours, even people talking and laughing as they passed on the street were heard clearly. We kept checking if there was a window open. As we were leaving we opened a closet that had a fan which would have helped.
Katie allowed us to check in early, which was great after a long flight. The rooms were clean. The kitchen was stocked with coffee and filters. We cooked dinner one night and had all the pots, utensils, and things we needed. Groceries and sightseeing were within walking distance.
Great downtown location with terrific views. As advertised. Katy was very helpful and accommodating. Would stay again.
Pros: incredible views, very comfy and cozy living room, clean, convenient and good parking. Comfy beds. Better than a hotel room for sure Cons: located above loud street (but it does get quiet at night), excessive cleaning fee (washed the dishes and took out the trash), 2nd bedroom is open along the ceilings and has flimsy partition between it and the living space.
Easy check in & out.
We cannot say enough about this property. The pictures and website did not do it justice. Perfect location… beautiful view.. we’ll stocked… great host!
