Stayed Jul 25, 2023Sorry to say I would not recommend this property. It was advertised as a 2-bedroom apartment. There are 2 bedrooms--sort of. The bedrooms are separated from one another and from the living room/kitchen area by partial walls, not floor to ceiling walls. This means there is no noise mitigation at all. So if there's a noise issue (snoring!) or if the occupants of one bedroom want to stay up later watching TV than other guests, there is no reduction in noise at all. The other problem was transportation. We did not rent a car in Sitka expecting that there would be cab, Uber or Lyft service. There is no Uber or Lyft service in Sitka apparently. A number of cab companies show up online but we were only able to get one to answer the phone. That was Bayside Tours. One cab driver made multiple trips to and from the airport in order to transport all the travelers on our flight from Seattle to their accommodations. She was great but there was only one of her so it took over an hour for her to get to everyone. Getting back to the airport was also an issue. We had an early flight -- needed to be picked up at 4:30am. The Bayside Tours driver wasn't able to do that trip but she referred us to someone else who could. Shout out to Bayside Tours and the great guy who picked us up at 4:30 in the morning!

Stayed Sep 14, 2024What a great apartment. We enjoyed the central location and easy access to hiking trails. The apartment was so clean and equipped with everything we needed. We felt right at home and our hosts were very helpful with some questions we had about luggage, etc. Wonderful experience.
