This is a great apartment, and the rooms are actually larger than they appear in the photos! We had a small plumbing problem that was taken care of on the same day. Highly recommended.

Perfect for our needs. Wi-Fi had problems and didn't work but not fault of owner. Problem likely resolved by now.

I will start by saying that the owner was nice, the apartment was in a good location, and it looks nice at first. But then... 1. The power goes out if you have more than 2 things turned on at once. So every time we needed to turn on the oven, run the dishwasher, use the washing machine, turn on air conditioners, etc. we had to turn off ALL of the lights, unplug all chargers, and turn off air conditioners. The power is TERRIBLE here. This was the most inconvenient and annoying part of this house. I couldn't even use a clothes steamer without turning everything else off. It constantly trips the breaker. We even tried turning everything off in the house and running the dishwasher while we left. When we returned, the dishwasher never ran a full cycle and it tripped the circuit. If you want to cook anything in the oven, you have to turn off all the lights, unplug everything else, and only have 1 air conditioner running. Even when doing this, it trips the breaker. 2. Only 3 rooms had working air conditioners. The third bedroom was HOT (90+ degree days in Rome). We were not warned of this prior to checking in or even once we arrived. We figured it out after the host left and was told it wouldn't be fixed until after we checked out. No fans either. 3. The water only stays hot for approximately 3 minutes at a time. This is terrible for taking showers! The water stays hot long enough to get your body and hair wet, then it goes to ICE COLD for 3-5 minutes. So you have to stand there, freezing, until the water gets hot again. Repeat this process every few minutes until you are done showering (warm, cold, warm, cold, until you are done). The water pressure is weak too so it takes forever to actually get clean. 4. The Wi-Fi disconnects itself randomly throughout the day as well, especially if you have more than 1 device connected. You have to constantly reset the router to keep your devices connected. Very annoying. 5. There is no coffee maker, no microwave, no toaster, no extra trash bags..really only the bare essentials. I hate to leave a bad review for anyone, but this apartment truly is the worst. I would strongly suggest finding a better place to stay. Had we not already paid for the reservation, we would have left and gone to a hotel. If you are a single individual who does not plan to cook, shower, use the air conditioner, watch TV, charge devices, or use the Wi-Fi, then this place could work for you. But for our family, it was terrible.

Had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Domus Lilia during our visit to Rome. Susanna was a great host and greeted upon our arrival. Prior to our stay, we had great communication and Susanna answered all of our questions, provided recommendations, and arranged transport from the airport. We arrived in Rome in the morning and she accommodated an early check-in which was so helpful. The house is very conveniently located with bus and metros stops nearby. There is a grocery store across the street and an amazing Gelato place a few doors down which we frequented regularly. The space was perfect for 6 adults and offered a wide range of amenities. Our only issue was when using the kitchen oven it would trip the breaker and we would lose power until reset. Hand and laundry soap would also have been a nice touch. Overall excellent place and great stay while touring Rome. Would highly recommend!

Susanna was a wonderful host. She was personable and made great efforts to accommodate us. We arrived in afternoon and she was welcoming with a brief tour of her home. It was wonderful to see an elevator in the building as the apartment is several floors up and we had plenty of luggage. Apartment also was secured by an outer wrought iron gate and a doorman, having an inner courtyard for a welcome outdoor stroll. The area felt secure and had plenty of commercial nearby from supermarket, fruit stand, restaurants and cafe just next door to us. There was one minor problem in that the following morning we couldn't get hot water and so I contacted the host. The repair was completed timely, we also lost electricity for about 1/2 the day which was due to a city failure and not the host's fault. Simply minor inconveniences of European life, however Susanna was more than apologetic. It was a wonderful stay the apartment very spacious and clean which I particularly appreciate. The location on a major traffic street having a terrace and enjoying the view. Noise was not an issue as you simple close the windows and doors, there is air conditioning available although we didn't require it when we were there. There is also a clothes washer that we did utilize and appreciate having with a wired rack for hanging the clothes for drying. The metro is within walking distance a couple of blocks up and can get you to the major tourist attractions withing minutes. The building well kept. Enjoyable stay it was! Thank you to the hosts!!

was really impressed by the kindess and professionalism of Susanna. The apartment is exactly as in the photos and the building is very well maintained - keeping its historical fashion. San Giovanni district is safe and well served in terms of shops, cafeterias, restaurants and of transportation.
