This was our 2nd stay with Sandy and everything was absolutely wonderful- just like the first!Breakfast was delicious and she works with you on timing and kinds of foods.She has wonderful art work in all the rooms. Comfortable beds, great gathering place. She treats you as a guest in all the best ways. Even in winter we found the grounds and views beautiful and the perfect getaway.Clean goes without saying. Sandy is on top of everything! Not to mention the amazing breakfasts. And Dave was out at 7:30 in the morning shoveling eight inches of snow from the driveway to make sure we were able to leave at the time we wanted. Second visit at Derinda House, and there will be many more in the years to come!

This was a great place to stay. Sandy made us delicious breakfast on two of our days. We wanted to explore the town for breakfast on our other day. She was very informative about things to go see and places to visit around Elizabeth and Galena. She was a delight to talk to. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. It was only 20 minutes to Galena.

The home and yard are gorgeous and meticulously maintained. The location is private, yet still convenient to everything in the Galena area . . . and the local scenery is really pretty. The breakfasts were delicious and the host is an absolute delight!! This home offers the complete package! We will definitely be back and we'll bring more friends and family with us!!

We spent a wonderful week at the Derinda house. Sandy provided a very tasty breakfast every morning, her cookies were amazing. To really enjoy the area, one week is just what we needed. The house is right by route 20 which provided very easy access. Being able to do morning hikes right from the house was a real treat, something we cannot easily do at home. Sandy's husband is a very talented artist and the house reflects that. Derinda house is quite popular so be sure to book in advance!

Lovely property near the delightful town of Elizabeth! We primarily used this home for 3 couples to sleep in, as we had rented a larger home in the Galena Territory to serve as our family reunion home base. The host left us some delicious breakfast items, as we did not need her full breakfast to be served. Beds were reasonably comfortable, kitchen was lovely. Out door spaces were lovely as well, although we didn't use them. We'd definitely stay there again!

Sandy’s place was incredible. Very clean and welcoming, great place for a small get together on the weekend. It is close to Elizabeth Town and Galena for shopping/other activities. The breakfast and cookies provided by Sandy were incredible. We would come back for sure!

We had a girls weekend stay at the Derinda House. This is the second time staying. I love Sandy's cooking. We thoroughly enjoyed local wineries and shopping.

I stayed here for two nights on a girls getaway with my Mom, my Aunt and my teenage daughter. Derinda is a short but beautiful 20 minutes southeast from all the shopping and activities in Galena, nestled in the woods. Very peaceful, with room to relax and a local brewery with tasty offerings. The breakfasts were excellent and Sandy even called before we arrived to check for any food allergies! We would definitely stay here again.

Location was great, everything was comfy, the incuded breakfasts were definitly a big plus, and tasty, too, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths fit our group of 4 women well! Sandy was very kind and communicative.

Our hostess thought of all our needs. The delicious breakfast that she made each morning was like clockwork at our requested time. The home was cozy, comfortable, and fulfilled our needs.

This is a charming apartment that is wonderful for a getaway. The beds were comfortable. The house was bright and cheery. Sandy was so friendly and helpful - and the breakfasts were wonderful. Sandy was also very accommodating to our special dietary needs. It was a quick drive to Elizabeth, but we were there for a writer's retreat, so we stayed home most of the time. I would highly recommend it.

This was my 2nd stay. The location is a 20-25 mins drive to Galena and minutes from downtown Elizabeth. The house is cozy & well stocked. Sandy's breakfasts are amazing! If you leave there hungry, that's on you! I would definitely come back

This was the second year staying here and it is so nice, comfy and the breakfast Sandy makes is amazing!!! Such a great way to start our day of shopping and just bumming around. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stay out of the town of Galena. Thank you Sandy!!!
