The Space:

Surrounded by some of La Jolla’s best restaurants, the Diamond in the Village is truly a rare find.



1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment, the Diamond also has a full size pull out sofa sleeper in the living room that would be great for small children.



Attached to a private garage – you never will need to find parking.



There is an open kitchen plan with 2 door refrigerator, sink, microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker.



Both the living room and bedroom boasts HD flat screen TV’s with cable.



There is FREE WiFi for your convenience and a lovely courtyard to enjoy the warm sun.



The apartment complex has a lovely coin operated laundry facility along with your own lock up closet housing beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella and boogie boards.



For longer stays there is your own lock up post box.

This is a Non-Smoking home. No smoking allowed inside or outside the unit.



This home has a maximum occupancy of 6 people. You may not exceed that at any time and will be strictly enforced.



This home is pet friendly, however only allows 1 dog (no cats) no larger than 25lbs.



For homes that allow pets there are certain rules that always apply. Pets are never to be left alone in the homes uncrated. If you plan on spending time away from your pets please find a doggy day care or crate your pet. You can call our office for recommendations or check the Welcome Book.



There will be a $40/Night pet fee if brining a Pet. For longer stays as about flat rate fee.





Please note the unit is located next to restaurants. There may be early noise from delivery trucks and noise in the evening from restaurants nearby.



This home is located in a shared apartment complex. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced.

    A great location in the downtown of La Jolla. The off street garage parking is great. I found it easiest to back into given the tight alley. A full size car is about as big as you can go. I would strongly recommend replacing the old panel TV’s with smart Roku TV’s so guests can actually watch something via the wireless internet. The dvd player is pretty useless you brought dvd’s with you… but who does that these days.

    The biggest negative of this property is that the listing states the bed size as a queen bed. One other reviewer has stated that it was not a queen but a full. Because no other viewers made this statement, we booked. The bed was definitely not a queen but a full size bed. Had we known that, we would not have made the booking. We had two very poor sleepless nights because of this. The bedroom also needs black out curtains because the electronic eye lights at the entry of the multi unit property came on and off throughout the night and shown directly into the bedroom because one of the blinds is short of covering both sides of the window. If you are okay with a full size bed and are a deep sleeper, there are many positives about the unit. We loved the garage to park our rental car, not having to park on the street. The unit was clean. Communication about accessing the unit, utilizing the electronics, and leaving the unit were specific and clear. The location is also excellent: walkable to the beach, the main strip of shops and restaurants, and nearby restaurants as well. Some restaurants are less than a block away.

    We enjoyed our stay at this location. It was exactly as advertised. It was clean, well stocked and in a great location for everything we wanted to do. There was easy access to restaurants, food stores, and local attractions. It was perfect for two people. You could fit 4 but it would be a little tighter. The garage space was a clear advantage because there is performing arts center and very popular breakfast place near by. It was nice never having to worry about parking. We would recommend this place.

    Nice location. Clean. Well-appointed unit. Only negative comment is we wished there were better seals under doors to outside space. Convenient laundry. Very nice, would come again and recommend.

    Excellent location. Vey safe neighborhood. Very clean apartment. Bare bones. Full size bed (not Queen) with foam topper on cheap mattress with no box spring. I had back pain, but my husband was okay. TV reception unusable in bedroom. Front room okay, but only a few channels with commercials. No smart TV with ability to sign in to your own Netflix, Amazon, etc. Having a garage was great. Barely fit my mid-size sedan (Camry), so won’t work for anything bigger. Communication was seamless and checkin info sent a few days in advance. Received call day of to confirm. Was affordable, so appropriate price point.

    Great locale, right next to coffee shops, shopping & restaurants! Also, a supermarket if you need one. We walked everywhere, no need for a car!

    Property is in a great location, very easy to walk everywhere. It is older, bathroom could use updating. I did have a plumbing issue upon arrival the toilet was clogged and I could not get a hold of any of the after hours maintenance contacts so did not have a working bathroom. Once I was able to get a hold of the company they were very helpful just not ideal. Garage parking and beach accessories were really nice.

    Had a problem on arrival. We were given wrong code but we able to make contact and got that sorted without too much trouble. The bed is a double, not a queen and it is way way too soft. The bathroom floor was dirty. The Kitchen could use a spatula. But, having a garage was a big help, the location is great. There are spices in pantry but nothing else. Good enough for the price.

    Wonderful spot...super quiet...will rent again! Ultra bargain considering you get to walk right out the door into the best location in the village!!!
