The property was in excellent condition and was quite spacious and the area was quiet and conveniently located between the train station and the historic center. Many traditional restaurants were near by. Only real issue was the air conditioner was weak and the system needed refrigerant to work more efficiently and cool more effectively.

We loved the view of the historical part of Bologna including the towers! We were able to cook in the well stocked kitchen, walk a couple of blocks for aperyivos and dinners, and lived the comfortable beds and having two bathrooms. It was the best accomodations in our two week trip and Matilda was very helpful. I rarely give five stars but this was wonderful. J

We spent 7 nights here. The apartment is in a great location, easy walking distance from the station and the Piazza Maggiore. While it is on a busy street it faces an inner courtyard and so is very quiet. The 2 bedrooms are large and comfortable and there are 2 bathrooms which is great. However, the living area is small by comparison and cannot seat more than 2 adults comfortably, as there is only a 2 seater lounge and the wooden dining chairs are not very comfortable. (I actually assumed from the pictures that there was an eat-in kitchen and then another living area but this was not the case) The large terrace is excellent but would be enhanced by some comfortable seating which is what the apartment needs as a whole. While Matilde is not unpleasant, she is not a particularly welcoming host; my communications with her over check-in actually made her appear unhelpful and abrupt. I’m very happy with self check-in but I appreciate the host providing an information sheet with some things like restaurant recommendations, where the closest and best supermarket is etc and this was not the case. This could be an absolutely perfect place to stay in Bologna as the location is fabulous but it needs a little more focus on the comfort of the guests.

We are 3 over 70 American women. We do not have internet skills. We did not have cell phone service in Italy and the owner was VERY difficult to deal with. We ultimately were able to gain access to the property, and it is a very nice apartment, but the angst was not worth it.

The apartment had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean and comfortable. Two bedrooms (0ne with twin beds) and 2 bathrooms and an elevator is a rare find. The host was responsive and friendly.

Very nicely updated apartment. Close to everything, very walkable, great location. The pillows are very flat and it’s a bit noisy (neighbors, no street noise at all as it faces inside small courtyard). The toilet drips constantly in master room and the AC didn’t work.

The property is large with two bedrooms each containing their own bathrooms. Kitchen and eating area are large and well equipped. Very clean. Our only issue is with the property host. He responded quickly but made checking in and finding the WiFi difficult. He also asked for more money saying a local tax had raised since we booked.

Clean and well appointed for our family. Our only challenge was accessing the property because we didn’t have the ability to dial out from our phone we only had data.

Bologna surpassed our every need and want! The apartment was so beautiful and comfortable for us. Only two of us but there is room for 4 or 5. Two bedrooms and two beautiful baths with stone showers. A beautiful long terrace to sit on was great with a wonderful view of Bologna! Two TVs but one did not work at all. Washing machine was just what we needed and plenty of clothespins to hang wet clothes on the terrace. Elevator was welcome and easy to use. Kitchen has all you need except a large wine glass. We bought one and left it for next person. Location of apartment was wonderful. Close to friday’s huge market and restaurants on the righi street. If you can walk a half mile, you can go to lots of places. Try Vitoria restaurant or Tonys. Go to archeological museum and take the red touring train up to top to see church up there. Taxi must be obtained only at taxi stands. You must find out where they are. Matilde, our contact for the apartment was only through email. She answered all our questions promptly but we never saw her. We were disappointed because we have met such wonderful hosts in our travels over the years. We only stayed here 4 nights which is unusual for us. Normally we stay at least a week.

We had a great stay in Bologna. The apartment was spacious and had everything that we needed. We would definately book this apartment if we were to return to the city.
