The neighborhood  
Ottakring is the 16th district in Vienna. In Austria, people like to drink beer and a popular regional beer is even brewed just around the corner in the Ottakringer brewery. The west of the district is bordered by nature and greenery, which gives the district a charming touch. The Brunnenmarkt is an open-air market which (after the Naschmarkt) is the largest market for exotic fresh food, fruit and vegetables. One of the few sights in Ottakring is Wilhelminenberg Palace and the Kuffner Observatory, from where you have a breathtaking view over Vienna. Enjoy the very special charm of this district.  

Bars and restaurants  
Whether you`re exploring the west of the district, where you can relax and enjoy a spectacular view over a coffee on the terrace of Hotel Schloss Wilhelminenberg, there`s something for everyone in Ottakring. We also recommend trying Austrian cuisine at one of the wine taverns near the Ottakringer brewery and tasting your way through the beer menu. Just around the corner from your accommodation you will find the `Schwarzer Rabe` pub, where you can stop for a nightcap after a hard day`s work or sightseeing or take part in the legendary pub quiz including a music quiz every Friday evening (booking recommended). The nearby Plachutta Grünspan restaurant also invites you to linger in its cozy garden.  

To the east of the district, you can cross Gürtelstraße to the 6th and 7th districts, where there are many different restaurants ranging from Italian to Thai and Vietnamese cuisine.   

The apartment is located on Arnethgasse in the 16th district and is just a few minutes away from streetcar line 44 and subway line U3. Streetcar line 2 is also in the immediate vicinity, so you can reach the city center in around 25 minutes.  

A security deposit will be held and authorized on your credit card during the reservation process. This amount is only authorized and blocked on your credit card and will be released within 7 days after check out if no damages are incurred during the stay.
