Enjoy this stylish experience at this centrally-located and newly redecorated place.

Wooden floors and high 295 cm ceilings, the building was built in 1920's and the flat has an functionalism/art-deco feel. The kitchen and living room/bedroom have been redecorated in Aug 2023 so the surfaces are fresh. The size of the flat is 43m2.

This is not a permanent residence; so there no private objects in the flat, but ample shelf and wardrobe space for you.

You'll be located in the heart of the design district of Helsinki, a lot of small clothes and second hand shops, home deco stores and restaurants are in a comfy walking distance.

You can enjoy your morning cuppa at home using by using one of the two coffee makers provided, or alternatively go and get you coffee for example at Green Hippo Cafe at Fredrikintori Square around the corner. This is just one of our favourite hang outs in the area.

Sea shore and Merisatama yacht harbour are only 900 meters (1/2 mile) away.

The trams no 1, 2 and 3 and busses no 20 and 30 run from a stop 50 meters away, in Viiskulma. They take you e.g. to the main Railway station in 9 minutes. Metro in Kamppi is 800 m away. Parking is a metered street parking where chargeable time is 9-21 on weekdays and 9-18 on Saturdays. Sundays free. This is parking zone 1. Easiest way to pay is to downlaod a parking app such as Parkman, EasyPark or Moovy. The hourly rate is 4,30 € to 4,60€ depending on app. You can also pay with your credit card at the meters that can be found on most street corners the cost being 4€ per hr.

On the other hand, you don't even need public transport or car, you can walk everywhere. Erottaja, which is said the be the very centre of Helsinki is 650 meters away.

Closest 24/7 supermarket, Alepa Perämiehenkatu is 500 m away. Another Alepa is only 150 m away being open from 6:30 to 23.

This apartment was a great place to stay for a visit to enjoy Helsinki. Just about everything noteworthy in Helsinki is within walking distance. A great restaurant, a supermarket, an R Kioski, and a pharmacy are within a five-minute walk. Two tram lines (streetcars) and a bus line are on a street one minute away. The surrounding Design District is fascinating. The central railroad station and the Kamppi transport hub can be walked to in 15 minutes, or a tram line will take you to and from. The place was quiet and private. We felt at ease at all times. There is always a little foot traffic on the street--it felt like a vibrant but peaceful neighborhood.Large windows let in pleasant light from the southeast. The heat was abundant and easy to control.Kitchen and bathroom had modern fixtures and everything worked well. Heated towel rack! Wi-Fi was excellent. Our mobile-phones worked fine with good signal strength. This is not a glamorous, shiny place but it is very clean and properly stocked with kitchen tools and basic supplies. Comfortable and easy-going would describe the ambience of the apartment, its building, and its neighborhood. For the two of us this was just about the ideal lodging for our Helsinki stay. We would return.

Miia and her husband went above & beyond to deliver an excellent guest experience! Lovely apartment just steps from Tram Route 3. Helsinki's multi-modal transport card makes getting around a breeze. Convenience store across the street from transit stop. Top notch kitchen, comfortable beds and an amazingly rich & varied library for those who want to have a cuppa whilst reading as the snow falls outside. Recommended!
