Cozy Highrise 2 br Apt - Downtown Memphis!

The check in process was great. It seemed liked the ambiance of the building had something to do with a lot of fish tanks. The lobby and sitting areas smelled like old carpet. The 17th floor hallway had many fish tanks which a couple had a horrible smell and was obvious that they haven’t been cleaned. It was a lot of random old furniture just placed throughout the building. Our apartment was clean and our host was nice. It was comfortable. Also the building had 3 elevators but only 1 is functioning.

Nasty, poor customer check in, smelled terrible like piss on the floors and lobby, host of facility rude not clean, apartment small, rusted dishes, roach traps everywhere not clean , burn holes in sheets, smell awful, was very uncomfortable could not sleep , just terrible nasty around homeless people begging , and all hanging in building lobby selling drugs, will never book a place to no one like this , it needs to be shutdown

Parking was in a paid garage.room was horrible. Windows unit for a/c it was horrible. From elevators to room had a smell. Bugs was in room also. I need a refund

Overall the property was nice for a one night stay. However, I would not personally stay here again due to the location. The location had very limited parking unless you wanted to stay in a very pricey parking garage and there was a ton of construction going on near the building and on the building. The room itself wasn’t bad but could have used a lot of updates to make it a bit more comfortable and safer. Overall, it isn’t bad for a one night stay but if you can stay out of downtown I would highly recommend it.

Where is scaffolding around the building. They were drunk people leaning against two sides of the building as I entered. The lobby was hot. Only one of three elevators were working with no air-conditioning on the elevator.The hallway to the room was not air-conditioned, with maintenance tools laying on the furniture in the hall. When I entered the apartment, the air-conditioning was window unit. All were on full, but the apartment was too hot to remain. I am on a business trip and had to work in the hotel room, but when I sat down to try, it was clearly too hot to remain. I called my wife and told her I was going to have to move because the conditions were intolerable. I went to the lobby and told the lobby staff that I was not able to stay, and that I would have to contact the owner. They went to check the apartment for the problems I have mentioned. My wife texted me at that point and said she had a separate place for me to stay. I then called the owner and told her what was wrong and that I could not stay. I asked to cancel the reservation. She stated that I would have to go to. VRBO as she was not able to do it from her end. I use the app to try to cancel the appointment and was told I could not because it was the day of check-in. I called the helpdesk, and they recorded what I had said, and said that they would look into it. They later wrote me that the owner had refused to allow the cancellation. She stated that it was too late and that she would not refund my money

Misrepresented and unsafe!We were there a total of 10 minutes before leaving.Honestly, don’t trust the pictures of this place. We got there and it was nothing like the listing. The furniture is all peeling, the towel bar was broken, and the kitchen was covered in gross splatter.The worst part is the AC unit in the window. It’s held together with duct tape and has growth and grime all over it. My son has asthma and I couldn't let him breathe that in. When I tried to talk to the owner about it being a health risk, she was just rude and combative. She called everything wear and tear and refused to refund us even though we couldn't stay there. This isn't just an old house, it’s false advertising and it isn’t safe for kids. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

The apartment was overall decent, but there were several issues that impacted our stay. One of the bedrooms had dirty bed linens, with visible stains on the comforter (possibly makeup or something similar). Additionally, there were no towels or washcloths provided; we had to go downstairs to the office to request those, along with toilet tissue. The apartment had not been properly restocked after the previous guests, as several necessities were missing. While using the kitchen, we noticed a couple of pests, which suggests the unit may need treatment for roaches. Lastly, the parking situation was not clearly communicated. We received a parking ticket for parking on the side of the building. There was no clear indication that it was a no-parking zone, and we believed we were parked appropriately. There was no message about parking garages or meters in the posting on Vrbo. Overall, the stay was okay, but these issues should be addressed to improve the experience for future guests.

We decided to stay here due to the proximity to the venue for our daughter’s southeastern regional high school choral ensemble. The location is spectacular! We walked everywhere: Beale Street, down to the River and everywhere in between. There are parking garages nearby and metered street parking. The office personnel and staff are very pleasant and helpful. The apartment was nice and roomy. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book here again when traveling to Memphis! It would have been a little less worrisome to have received our arrival instructions the day prior but communication with the host was great. We felt safe and welcome. There is a strong odor in the lobby area, not quite sure what it was from, but the apartment did not have that smell. So much natural light coming through the large windows. It is a very old building so take that into consideration. Several window ac units throughout and all worked well. There are also space heaters. We did not need them as the weather was on the warmer side for our stay but it appears they are the kind that shut off when tipped over. Basic kitchen dishes, pots, pans, and silverware provided. It was nice to cook a few meals while we stayed. Thank you!

Building was run down and had a terrible smell. Sink in the kitchen was clogged and wouldn’t drain. The u it we were in looked nothing like the pictures shown during booking.

My host was welcoming. I loved the fact that everything was in walking distance.

The place was clean and the people in the office were very friendly and helpful.

I didn’t even get a chance to stay there they don’t tent to locals that have guests coming from out of town

This ad is completely false information. Felt very unsafe the door lock didn’t lock. There were bugs everywhere in the room and building. The photos are completely inaccurate. I asked for a refund after only staying long enough to find somewhere else to take my family. The host refused any type of refund just to look at a different apartment in the same building.

It was a nice stay

They had bugs in the tub when we arrived the a/c unit kept going off and on the whole apartment didn’t get cool. I was with a baby that is two years old so we didn’t even sleep there Saturday night it was to hot i checked out early which around 7pm Saturday and went and check in a hotel.

The building was old and musty abd the floor we stayed on smelled like cat piss.Everything was old.

Lobby very dirty and smelly with sketchy looking people inside and outside. Did not feel safe. Unit smelled like smoke and was dirty. Dirty second hand furniture. Refrigerator made loud rattling sounds. Big hole in wall behind door. Did not look AT ALL like Vrbo photos. We ended up not staying here.

The owner didn't send me the check in information until less than an hour before the scheduled check in time. The property doesn't actually have a gym - it's a couple of blocks away - and the secured parking is extra payment.

It was clean and tidy and had all we needed. Only issues was a lot of the electrical plugs weren’t working to charge any devices and were loose. Highly recommend otherwise. Easy walk to everything we wanted to see and felt safe

I contacted the host about accessing the rental on the day that I was supposed to check in. I was informed that the rental was not available. I asked when did they plan to inform me, because I’m on the road heading there. The host did offer a one bedroom but instead canceled the reservation because the host stated that they didn’t like my tone because I asked about being notified. Bad customer service!!!

From the pictures this place looks as described cozy, modern high-rise in downtown Memphis. And maybe it was at some point. However, currently it is rundown with a roach infestation. 2 out the of the three elevators weren’t even in service. Honestly I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing considering we were not refunded and opted to stay elsewhere.

The apartment was in a great location. Reasonable parking garage that was walking distance. Our host was great with communication. Check in was simple.. Great view of the Memphis bridge. Hilliard's Mississippi

Room was clean and the check In process was east. Would definitely stay here again if I go back to Memphis
