We were so happy with the entire stay. The host was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and well maintained. The area is excellent close to trails, tourist attractions and city. We recommend to have a car. Overall we had an excellent experience.

The house was very good. Everything you need is available. The host was very kind and helpful. We had a great time in and around the house (garden and the surroundins). We made nice hikes and mtb-tours.

We are a family of five and a dog and we had a brilliant holiday at Alpenrose. Anneliese is a wonderful host and made all of us feel so welcome and offered lots of great advice on the local area and beyond. The accommodation is based in a fantastic location with many lovely walks direct from the door and very easy to get to the Aletsch Glacier and the Binntal national park. We had a car but also used public transport (get the Landschaftspark Binntal park pass) as the Grengiols train station is about a 25 minute walk. We enjoyed every day, but some highlights were the Aletsch Glacier (go from Fiesch up to Eggishorn for great early views before the crowds), walking back from Binn through the Twingi gorge (get the train from Grengiols to Fiesch then bus to Binn (Anneliese’s tip)) and walking across the Goms bridge to explore Ernen and Mühlebach. We need to come back again and bring our bikes next time as there are so many exciting bike trails. Totally recommended!

Our family of four enjoyed a great 5 days in this house, located in a very cool and quaint little hamlet in the mountains. (My first hamlet in 47 years.)The place has an interesting history about it, which we were eager to learn. Anneliese and her family were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had regarding the area, and they were quick to resolve any issues with our stay. Their wonderful recommendations included a trip to the Zauberwald, which was great fun for the boys (6 and 11). Also in the area is the Brigerbad thermal park. As far as kids water parks go, this one was very clean, not so crowded (even on a busy day), and reasonably priced. Finally, especially awesome was a gondola ride and hike to the Aletsch Glacier, only minutes from this property. Even without a drive anywhere, however, just a hike in the neighborhood was worth the trip. There is a kids park and mini-golf nearby, and plenty of paths for hiking or biking, though be prepared to sweat. This trip was meant to be a stopover on our way from Germany to Italy for a longer stay, but if we only had this on the itinerary, the vacation would have been complete. Highly recommended.

Nothing fancy but very cozy! We, a family of 5 spend a few days in this lovely hamlet. During the day we explored nature in the area which is absolutely beautiful. At the end of the day we enjoyed the garden of the hamlet for a drink and to relax.

Great spot to explore the amazing Swiss mountains of the valais! Owner aneliese is very nice and a great host. We loved the quiet traditional Swiss village setting and the amazing views. Would definitely recommend chalet alpenrose! Perfect location to explore zermatt and the matterhorn, the aletsch arena and all the rest of the amazing valais!

Stero-typical Switzerland: mountains, cows with bells, a chalet with real character, and not forgeting the very friendly & helpful Anneliese. It will be a very good memory for us.

The house is small but cosy and pleasant. Only 5 to 10 minutes (depending weather) driving from the ski area Aletsch Arena. We stayed there with 5; the beds are separated which some might find less romantic. The kitchen is small and bit outdated, but has besides a dishwasher, all the equipment and is workable. We very much enjoyed our stay and the owners are really friendly and helpful: a true recommendation!
