Location

Located in the Park Circle neighborhood of North Charleston, our house is an ideal place to stay when visiting the Charleston area for work or play. Park Circle is a friendly, eclectic neighborhood conveniently located a short drive from the airport, downtown Charleston, and the beaches (10 minutes to the airport, 12 minutes to the North edge of downtown, and 15-20 minutes to the beaches at Sullivans Island and Isle of Palms, to be more precise). Our diverse and open-minded neighborhood is experiencing an exciting revitalization and was named the “Brooklyn of South Carolina” by Thrillist.

Park Circle is an easily walkable area peppered with several parks, green spaces, and outdoor recreational areas, even its own disc golf course. Walk to the Farmer’s Market on Thursdays, take in a CrossFit or yoga class at Locomotion Fitness, or pick up some craft beers at the Brew Cellar. Be sure to visit Stems and Skins, our friendly neighborhood (James Beard nominated) wine bar and try some of our awesome local restaurants. You can walk or bike to Riverfront Park, located just outside of Park Circle on the Cooper River. Riverfront Park is home to the High Water Music Festival, hosts many other concerts and festivals throughout the year, and is a great spot for a picnic. The neighborhood is encircled by train tracks that service Charleston’s port. The trains can create a fun memory for children; however, if you think the noise may bother you, you may want to consider staying in a different part of the Charleston area. Other than the occasional train horn, we think you will find the neighborhood peaceful and quiet.

This was the perfect house for my husband and I. We came down from asheville after the hurricane to try and recover a bit and it was just what we needed. Quiet neighbors and it was nice to be able to walk around and get to places really easily. Great local restaurants and not over crowded. Would definitely be coming back and 10/10 highly recommend this rental. They were great in communicating and made it really easy for us.

My daughter wanted to explore Charelston, so wanted something affordable and close enough to everything. The location is close to downtown and just a short drive to area beaches! Also within walking distance to some restaurants as well. The area was really quiet, except for the occasional train, which didn't bother us at all. For less than the price of a hotel room and the convenience of a kitchen, washer, dryer, separate bedrooms the cozy chateau can't be beat! The hosts were very responsive as well! If we ever visit Charelston again, we will definitely look up the cozy chateau first!

This property was perfect for my teen daughter and I as we stayed in the area for a dance competition in North Charleston. As we were staying for 5 nights, I wanted to stay somewhere with more room and in a more “happening” area. Park Circle is a very vibrant community…wish I would have had more free time while visiting! We walked to get ice cream one night and noticed there was quite a few restaurants we were bummed we didn’t get to. The location of this house is across from some construction happening, but either there’s a pause in the work or they worked during the day while we were gone - never heard a thing. The apartments across the street look a little worse for wear, but this area seems to be family-friendly and full of young people. There is a train that comes by in the morning, but the owners have provided noise machines in each bedroom. The house was appointed very nicely and was very clean. The beds and pillows are firm, not sure if that’s good or bad the majority. There was eco-friendly items in the house, such as laundry detergent sheets; huge bonus in my eyes. No dishwasher, but this house isn’t big enough for a large family anyways so it’s probably not necessary…we ate out most of the time too. Also, I need to mention when the wifi went down, the owners not only responded right away, but fixed it right away too! I would definitely recommend this home any day to anyone looking for a North Charleston/Park Circle home!

Property is an easy drive into downtown Charleston. A transitional neighborhood yet we felt very safe. Beds were very comfortable. Could use a couple extra amenities such as a bath mat and a box of kleenex. We did not cook at the property, just glassware and plates for reheated food. Would have been nice to have a dishwasher if doing any level of cooking, but understand not included in this layout. Would still recommend the property as a good location and comfortable for 2-4 people. Property managers/owners were responsive to our questions.
