Cozy and bright! Ideal for family vacations! NYC

PROS: Great cost/value ratio. Easy access to the NJ train system, with direct access to NYC (Penn station NJ to Penn station NY-Madison Square garden) and Newark airport. Within walking distance of the Prudential center (New Jersey Devils hockey team) Very convenient apartment. Owner is very cooperative. CONS: Neighborhood filled with homeless people (we never felt threatened as many policemen were present). Dusty apartment vent system (but the rest of the apartment is spotless). Conclusion: well worth the cost/value proposition compared to downtown NYC

Absolutely loved and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this very cozy apartment. We fell in love with it after our first day. After a full day of traveling, walking, stressing, Ubers, Subways, buses and did I mention walking.... we were very pleased to realize all we had to do was walk across the street and we were at our destination, and there was a 7-11 at the corner so we didnt have to go far to grab our kids snacks. The fact that all we had to do was walk across the street, go up a set of stairs and wait for the next train into New York really sealed the deal for me. The beds were luxurious, so, so, so comfy. My kids laid on them and fell right to sleep, even my husband didnt snore as loud LOL. The pullout couch was also comfy, surprisingly. The bedding was just as comfy, nice and warm and fluffy, perfecta after a long day walking in the cold and a nice hot shower. There was enough of everything in the kitched for our family of 6 and plenty of towels and extra bedding. surprisingly spacious. The host was magnificent, even allowed one extra hour at a late notice, that really set her over the top. That was very gracious of her considering my request came just the day before checkout, not having to rush my kids out as early really helped with their moods later on in the day. Overall, I highly recommend this property and the host. Oh and there are great dining options just downstairs, must try. and must stay here on your next trip to NYC or New Jersey. you will not be disappoint

Apartment was great! Normal noise level for city apartment, secure paid parking was very close. Perfect distance to walk to Sports Illustrated Stadium and Penn Station.

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family trip. Everything was well organized and the instructions were clear, which made check-in and check-out very easy. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Great location and a cozy place to relax after long days exploring. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other families visiting the area.

This is a great little place to stay. Location is great. Very close to subway and many pubs and restaurants. Walking distance to Devils game. Amazing local pub right at entrance. Very clean well appointed unit. Beautiful linens and towels. Comfortable bed. I would definitely stay again

Our stay was perfect for what we needed. The Prudence center was a short walk, there were lots of food/drink options, and the apartment was close to the airport. There were a perfect amount of beds that were comfy. The living room was also an awesome spot to hang at the end of the night. Unfortunately it was a bit rainy, otherwise we would have also enjoyed the balcony. It is a bit noisy at night, especially on the weekend so I recommend bringing noise canceling headphones/earbuds.

Great place for our group of 8 to stay. Close to transit to NYC, clean, comfortable beds, check in was easy. We had a great visit!

Staying in NYC is stupid expensive for a family of 6 (ages 12 to 16). This place was perfect for our visit to the city! The apartment was perfect with a nice upgraded kitchen / bathroom and beds for all the kids in one room and a 2nd room for us. The location is ideal as it is across the street from Newark Penn Station metro. It is easy to access Manhattan in about 30 min. I knocked off a few stars for the location as the only negative is all the questionable people hanging out on the sidewalk between the station and the apartment (likely on something). They left us alone when we walked by and there were always police just outside the station. The rest of the neighborhood away from the station was GREAT! Loved the restaurants and ethic community!! I wish someone had given me a tutorial on the trains/metro. The PATH is easy like the subway in NYC. Tap and go with your credit card (no need to buy a ticket) and the PATH takes you to the World Trade Center. Then go where you like from there around NYC. The other trains are painful. The NEC etc. are legit Amtrack long haul trains. You have to buy a ticket get it punched by a conductor. Etc. Just take the PATH and make your life easy. When navigating in google maps click the public transport option after selecting directions. Then select “Modes” and choose “Subway” only DO NOT select TRAIN. This will keep you on the PATH. My family quickly learned to stay on the PATH and do not stray.

Very spacious for family with kids, very close to NJ Transit. Will come agin when we will be in new york. Very good restaurant on the first floor. Comfortable beds and kitchen. Wal greens is close.Thank you

We had a wonderful time in New York with an easy commute from Newark Penn, which is just on the other side the road. Saving money on hotels in Manhattan etc and spending a bit more on transportation was the better choice for us, as were travelling in a group of 6.Regarding the owner and the property: Simply awesome! The communication was fast, always welcoming and warm and incredibly helpful. They were so attentive and cared about the kids. It was Easter, so there were little gifts in the staircase.Checking in was easy and the apartment was well equipped and clean!Thanks a lot for the good time!!!

Great location for an event at Prudential Center. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for the stay. Great communication and service from the host.

When you staying at the property in couple weeks back. The apartments has a very good layout. Nice terrace outside . One of the best things it has. It's that it's really close to New Jersey Penn station. I'm going to meet it really easy for us to enjoy our time in New York City .

We really enjoyed the apt. It was very clean, nicely decorated and had plenty of room. We stayed for 5 days and didn't have any issues. The ac/heat worked great, there was plenty of hot water and it was very comfy. The closeness to NJ Penn made travel to NYC so easy. Having three restaurants right there helped with grabbing a quick meal as well. I would highly recommend. The only suggestion I think I would have is ice in the freezer.

We were visiting with my family and were 6 of us. The house was very comfortable and looks like the pictures. The kitchen is stocked with lot of dishes, utensils and basic pantry staples. Chocolates, popcorn and chips were a cute surprise. The location is very convenient and couple of mins walk to the Penn station. There are restaurants and groceries around which was great. The hosts were very approachable and replied quickly to all my questions. Only concern was the apartment was 2 stories up. We faced issue while moving our luggage which was on the first and last day, so not a showstopper. We will definitely come back here!

The appartment had everything we needed. It was very clean and excellent location to visit New York by train. The host also was really kind and offered a storage room for us to leave our luggage during the day of our departure. We extremely valued this.

This property was perfect for our visit to NYC. Being steps away from Newark Penn Station made our commuting into the city each day very easy. The restaurants downstairs were convenient and delicious. The 24 hour paid parking lot at the end of the building was a perfect place to leave our car. While the street corner near the train station was kind of sketchy with all the people hanging around, there was always police presence and we never felt unsafe. The unit was up two flights of stairs, so just a warning if anyone has health issues that would make getting up stairs difficult. The unit itself was super cute and perfect for our needs. It was clean, the beds were relatively comfy, the temperature in the unit was able to be kept at a comfortable level, and the shower had hot water and plenty of water pressure. The kitchen appeared to be stocked well, but for our short trip we ate out every meal and didn’t fully utilize the kitchen. We enjoyed the popcorn and chocolate kisses that were left for us. There’s also a 7-11 at the corner which made it convenient to pick up a few items we needed for our stay. Overall, a really great experience!

We really enjoyed our stay and the unit was exactly what we needed. The location was great, just steps away from Newark Penn Station. We also enjoyed the bakery and fresh food market that we were able to walk to.

The best stay in Newark! Apartment was very clean and beds were comfortable. It being July, we had a small issue with the A/C but hosts sent someone straight away after hours and checked in frequently after all was fixed. So many things to do & see, great restaurants & shops within walking distance. Most convenient to Penn Station trains to NYC. We will be back to stay again & see our Jersey friends that live close by!
