Cosy Apartment near the beach - Enjoy the summer almost all year

The kitchen was fully equipped and shops are in walking distance

Short walk down to the nearest beach, nice evening walks in to Lagos centre. The hosts were so welcoming and very nice. A wonderful week stay in Lagos, would definitely stay here again. We had a very warm welcome by the hosts Aida and Cristina. They showed and explained us everything in the apartment and gave us a lot of very helpful tips and recommendations for restaurants and activities around. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for a stay of a week or longer (full kitchen equipment, washing maschine, beach towels, even beach ball equipment and sun umbrellas were there). We even got some complementary fresh fruits and drinks on arrival. The apartment is in the back of the house of the family, but you have full privacy. The beach of Porto de Mos is just about 10 minutes walking distance, a small supermarket in 10 Minutes as well. Into historic city center of Lagos it is about 20 minutes walking. We really enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend it! Thank you very much, Aida and Cristina, for hosting us (and for the strawberries and farewell cake as well ;-))

On the day of our arrival we were warmly welcomed by Christina and her family. The place was easy to find and there was enough space for parking our car. In the apartment we found everything we needed for our stay: a great garden to relax or to have breakfast outside, a nice living room with a small TV (we could watch our holiday pictures using my HDMI-cable) with English and Portuguese channels, a well-equipped kitchen (fridge and freezer, washing machine,...), a stylish bathroom and the bedroom with twin beds. The bus stop is just about 300 m away, the bus ride into Lagos takes about 15 minutes and the bus leaves every hour. The supermarkets are just about 3 minutes away (by car). Walking to the beach took us about five minutes. The beach itself was perfect for us: lots of sand, great waves and the cliffs offer a breathtaking view. The area around Lagos (and Lagos itself) offers a great variety of sights, beaches, places for walking and there are great events like the Fiesa. To put it all in a nutshell: we had a perfect stay in Porto de Mos. PS: Thank you Aida for those little cakes. They tasted delicious!

The apartment was perfect for our needs - everything had been catered for, right down to a heater and fluffy blankets because of the unexpected cold weather due to hurricane Emma. We had a super welcome food pack waiting for us. Hot water for washing and showers was abundant. The owners were attentive but unobtrusive. Shame the weather was so poor as we didn't get the chance to use the lovely garden. We found a short cut to the beach from the apartment, turn left out of apartment, up the road until you see a gap on the right between 2 very new properties. Take this path. This leads you to a road (turn right) which takes you straight down onto the sea front (wish we'd found it day one!). Local beach restaurants are good. Would definitely come again. Thank you.

Great place and great hosts. The apartment was really nice and lovely private garden. We used the bikes which were great to spin into Lagos and out the ponte de piedade. Would definitely stay here again. Aidan

I stayed at this beautiful compact apartment for 10 days at Easter,on a bodyboarding/walking holiday. The apartment is located in a quiet,peaceful residential area approximately 5 minutes from The fantastic beach at Porto Mos. The apartment is perfect for a couple or single traveller, and extremely well equipped with all the utensils you are likely to need on holiday. The beds were comfortable and of excellent quality,and there is plenty of room and hangers for your clothes.there are electric security grills so you have various options of sleeping with doors open or closed at night,depending on the temperature. The bathroom is 5 star with a fantastic shower,beautifully tiled and equipped with a hairdryer for those who need it! The garden and patio area is a floral delight,with a comfy lounger and a padded cover.there is a table and chairs for meals alfresco .A picture has just come back to me of sitting in the garden after a day boarding at Praia de Amado listening to Neil Young Heart of Gold,and thinking life doesn't get much better.I think I found my heart of gold here! My hosts Aida and her husband invited me for a beautiful meal and made me feel very special,and part of the family. Their attention to detail and warm and friendly manner made my stay at their apartment a pleasure. I had the feeling they had put some serious thought into what makes a perfect holiday and added the final ingredient of kindness and wonderful Portugese hospitality. Our holiday in Lagos was really fantastic. The beaches are astonishing and the place is worth visiting. The apartment was really cute and nice. The atmosphere was really relaxing and friendly. There are all the facilities that one needs and we didn't miss anything. We recommend to other people to go to this apartment because it's really good, well furnished, with a magnificent view over the sea, and a splendid garden. Moreover, it's located in a quiet area and it's quite close to the beach. We truly enjoyed our stay and we are really thankful to Aida and Cristina for their assistance and warm welcome.

I, my husband and my one year old son arrived in Lagos last 20th of July. It was very late because our luggage had been lost ; the owners, Mrs Aida and her husband, welcome us very warmly. The house was small but extremely cosy, well furnished, comfortable, clean and it had anything you would need in a house. The beautiful private garden has an amazing sea view. It is not walking distance to the center but you can go by car or by bike. From there you can visit all the beauful beaches and cities of Algarve. Super-recommended for a couple or a couple and a baby. Plus: clean, well furnished, easy to park, relaxing, the owners are special people, friendly and helpful. Weakness: nothing!!! You will have a special holiday!!

it was a pleasure for us to stay in this flat.... flat and garden is wonderful and the family is very lovely and helpfull we are sure that if we will come to lagos again we will rent this flat again
